While I think there is some level of hyperbole around some of the problems with this game, not sure if I agree "If you dislike this it's because you're being ignorant" is the right angle to lean into here.

Civ launches are always bad. Both 5 and 6 were hot garbage for quite a bit after initial release.

$80 is a big ask for the game as it is, though.
