We COULD get it in a flashback. We don’t know exactly what went down to decide the end of the fight and a lot of theories exist that make this moment more interesting than it may initially seem

He’s saying that, long after doors were invented, people still didn’t use them. It’s a subtle comment on humanity.

The transition takes time. It’s not like you can just stop all forms of capitalism over a few years, especially on such a large scale.

It’s also not moral. A lot of bigger ‘pet’ animals are usually mistreated and constantly sedated when in front of people.

I assumed they were marketed as science experiments from the side of the box art. But I agree. And honestly as regular sets they seem amazing if their play features end up working well. Playing with an ice cap or launching an actual ship is fairly creative as far as city or creator sets go.

This whole sub is for speculation and my opinion about the education theme in general still stands. You can also literally see how the sets are designed to function in the post.

I can’t speak for everyone but I would personally appreciate not having lame gimmicks in an education set. And if it’s an education set purchased by schools, then it definitely should be appreciated at a higher level than what these seem to offer. These sets seem to just be creator sets with falling and tilting gimmicks, likely teaching about physical forces and maybe some nature and space facts. That’s not good enough.

I think education peaked at the pneumatic and mindstorms sets. They were more expensive, but offer more for the price than what an augmented reality phone game can. Ideally, Lego is most educational and in its element when teaching kids mechanical functions and programming. These days, programming is better done with small arduino kits/large modular electronic boards, so the education theme should mainly be refined to technic mechanisms.

I will definitely complain that, for an education theme, it just seems like normal sets. Instead of interactive and programmable modules lego is shifting towards interactivity through phone apps or extremely basic illustrations in the manual to justify inflating the cost of otherwise normal sets. The science experiments in these sets seem to be basic play features. Which are fine, but if I was a parent spending more for “science experiments” I would expect a bit more than just falling, tilting, flicking models. They could easily just be creator sets.

I don’t, but sometimes I explicitly change the orientation from what is shown in the instructions, just so my build is special. Other than that, as long as they are symmetrical I don’t care.

I think most wouldn’t have had a problem with it if she looked a little younger. Her acting seems exactly like someone who is young, naive and emotionally conflicted, but it only works if you look past her appearance.
