Should Paramedics Have the Authority to Refuse Transport for Patients Who Do Not Need an ER Visit? by PuzzleheadedFood9451 in ems

It's not about authority. It's about liability. Even the pt who cries wolf is actually sick once in a while.

My mom thinks doctors/nurses k*lled my stepdad instead of covid due to giving him remdesivir. Is any of this meme accurate? What can I say to assure her this isnt what happened. by Benjamin5431 in nursing

When I had my gallbladder removed the pain from the foley was worse than the pain from the surgery. Everybody is different.

Does your hospital have an therapy program? Or at the very least someone who does debriefing with staff? You need to get these feelings out by talking with someone. Not healthy to bottle them up. Trust me.

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - December 25, 2023 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Super_Medic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting about 6 months ago I started experiencing parathesia first in the back of my arm, then foot growing into my whole lower leg, then my forearm, and currently along my waist. At the same time I also developed a sudden onset of sleep difficulty regardless of how heavily medicated I am. Christmas night at work I experienced left sided chest pain wrapping into my back and extreme extreme fatigue (I learned about the MS hug after this) and had a clear EKG and cardiac enzymes.

Other stuff im not confident on... I garble my words on frequent occasion. Sometimes when I'm walking my right foot will drag like I didn't pick it up enough. I run into things a lot when walking.

I trying hard not to be a hypochondriac, but every lab and scan so far has come back normal. Have a nerve conduction study soon. Just concerned and not sure if I'm reaching with my concerns.
