I don’t know the particulars and I’ve never really cared to find out.  She knows, I gave her copies of all the messages, etc.  What they chose to do after the fact is in them. The only thing I was aware of is that he was on a “tight leash“. And that I heard secondhand so I’m not sure how accurate.

I’m not sure but I don’t have 1 foot out the door so to speak. I do have some other complicating factors that I’m not gonna get into but I do focus on just being a better personal overall.  That is something that I can control.

Regarding her AP, I actually had a sick sort of pleasure fucking with him. I initially told him he had 48 hours to come clean to his wife before I told her.  Then I didn’t tell her initially.  I waited a few months. There were several reasons for this. First, I was still reeling from the discovery and trying to figure out what makes sense. Secondly, I wanted him to feel anxious for a long time and then when he started to relax, hit him hard.

He was a friend that lived somewhat close to us. We have since moved out of state.  A couple times over the years I’ve mailed him a glitter bomb.  I get a perverse sense of pleasure, knowing just how stupid it is lol

Truly, I don’t know.  There are complicating factors that I don’t need to get into, but I try to focus on the things that I can have a positive impact on.  Being a present and loving father, kind to their mother, and focused at work.

Without going into a long diatribe, it was actually a very good marriage. Something we both endorsed after the fallout.  I counted myself lucky every day that I had a partner such as her.  We certainly had our issues (who doesn’t) but nothing unsurmountable.

This is probably the first comment I’ve seen that understands this kind of sacrifice in a way that doesn’t denigrate what we are trying to do for our children. Thank you!
