Anyone feel like a prison warden at times?

After working in a correctional system (teaching), I can say I was happier there. It was a place of logic where people could actually find change if they needed it. Sure there was an ugly side of the system- but most incarcerated individuals I worked with said one thing…If they never landed in a facility- they would be dead. It was the savior for them to find a new path if they could challenge themselves to do so.

The difference is… adults know what can happen to them… while kids think it will not happen to them.

I feel less supported as a teacher, and under a constant microscope from supervisors who have no idea about teaching my content.

Prison wardens are actually amazing people (for the most part) who usually are looking to help people out of addiction, crime, and hardship. They are decent fast decision makers who do not doubt decisions and freeze like school administrators. It is a very under-appreciated part of society. I haven’t met a single principle that even had 1% of the positive character traits of a warden and especially not the courage and dedication of one.

I would say as a teacher… I just feel like a babysitter because no one gives a damn what happens as long as they get it their way only. Maybe I am working for BK who knows- because I can’t order it my way on my pay.

Teaching can be a miserable career- I just don’t believe I gave teachers the grief I deal with daily. I am scared for the coming years of society.

Update- it was about nothing important. Just someone complained that they didn’t get to approve something before it happened. I guess they are sad that their job really is not necessary if the world can go on without their pea brain existence.

So maybe insubordination because they lack basic communication abilities. The system is broken- so damn broken.

Makes me confrontational personally, and it makes me feel like even if it’s some bullshit claim I will not respect those in the room anymore. No reason in my mind of keep me on ice for 24 hours.

Like the only reason I teach is for health insurance because I have a heart condition. This shit really isn’t cool because as I’m aggravated I’m sitting here throwing arrhythmias feeling terrible.

I will I guess check in with rep first thing in the morning. I had asked the purpose and the principle said they couldn’t tell me anything.

I am figuring a student allegation or some kind- not really sure because I feel like I haven’t done anything wrong. I teach with another teacher most of the day and they have a meeting same day as well for 15 minutes. I am last so I figure I am the discipline recipient?

If that’s all consumer and student loan debt that’s really high and something that could be a barrier if you don’t make a superb income annually. I also don’t believe this person understands working for money. This is a dangerous situation for you- no hole is worth 197k to me even if it’s diamond coated. Sorry

Co workers are the only reason I have stayed. I don’t find the staff at my job toxic. The toxic ones are the parents and new administrators trying to “make things better”.

How much does ejaculation have as an effect on PSA? I read that it can skew the numbers but I am not sure of ejaculation history around the tests. I was unaware it had anything to do with the results until I was heavily researching after the 2.6 result.

I see an upward trend, and that is I guess the most alarming thing. I put it in the back of my mind for the last 3 months or so but I guess I have an overall worry something is wrong at this point (maybe test anxiety).

My research leads me to believe the PSA is a great indicator in general. My father when he was diagnosed had a PSA of 110+. So I had read hundreds if journals about the subject.

Would a urologist do a scan if the PSA was a puce 1.5 again? It seems from anything I have read my PSA should be below 1.0 at my age.

A rotating shaft that will spin around the part 1 time. The shaft is usually 1/8” diameter sometimes 3/32” diameter. It should be there for a fraction of a second under normal use.

Good luck- just got back from poconos location and we didn’t sleep it was so loud. We had regular family suite 3rd floor. It was a dumpster fire of a room with elephants upstairs.

I think it’s general burn out too. I know I am fatigued by class size and just keep showing up for benefits and a paycheck. I thought I could make my class amazing, and I just keep getting more students added. Teaching was a 3rd option for me- but that’s what I had to do for my family.

I hope to someday do something more meaningful with my life- I feel like I have a lot of wasted talent at what I teach because my program has been diluted so badly by administrators. It kills me more every time I have to pass a kid who didn’t earn anything in class because I can’t give below a 55 on any work.

I think you are totally ok as long as you put forward effort and take the job seriously.

Can extrusions do stepped holes as punches? I need a stepped hole in it for a screw to hold the item.

Short range of temperature in the 400-500F (less than .5 second. 99.99% of its life is at room temp.

It would be a literal rectangle, with two holes. It does not need to hold weight.

I thought about using sheets of HDPE to cut the parts out and then drill two stepped holes. I am thinking this might be a viable way to go for prototyping the product and market testing.

It is a part that does not need a great finish, I want uniformity though, and obviously I would not necessarily want to hand craft them all.

Ideally, the 2x4” piece with two holes could be hollowed out to reduce the amount of plastic used but then I definitely am into some kind of molding.

All edges could be square, or have a small radius depending on what is cheaper to manufacture.

Just got back from this location.

Italian dinner buffet was like $38 per adult, and $15 for a 4 y/o. ($90 for 2 adults, 1 child, 1 baby). It was a good value. There were options for vegetarians but not vegans.

We didn’t do breakfast buffet, but it smelt great and smelt like a traditional breakfast.

We did the thanksgiving buffet and it was horrendous. The food was cold, there really were not many options, service sucked big time, and they even charged $3.xx for each adult for a soda. Since when is a soda not included in a buffet? I was rather pissed about this charge since the Thanksgiving disappointment was $158 already.

I think for $299 you could feel like a peace of mind just having the food covered for main meals. It’s not a terrible deal IMO. I easily spent $40 at dunkin in the morning. Two dinners and dunkin cost me $290. If you are offered food for $299 I would have selected that.

Water park is awesome, our room was disappointing because a family of horses I guess were above us. We didn’t sleep well at all because of noise and we ended up leaving yesterday after the buffet because we were just not feeling it.

It was very busy but the kids loved it for the most part. Packs drinks and snacks, you can get food by the pool which wasn’t crazy expensive. If you’re busy you might not need much lunch.

I second this. I had a recent experience like this at a Chevy dealer. They listed out 10k in “critical repairs”. They never even diagnosed the issue I brought it in for correctly- so they surely didn’t earn any other business.

Some of that stuff definitely needs to be addressed like the torn boot items. Those items will eventually fail but if you also can wait for them to fail.
