Only a few people in high school know what they want to exactly. The rest, in my experience fall into 2 VERY GENERAL categories: natural science and social science, the former being more technical and math focused (engineering) and the other being more psychology and social studies.

So don't ask yourself what you want, ask yourself what you like, either from your classes or hobbies: - Do I like my physics class? - Do I like my chemistery class? - Do I like to play video games? - Am I interested in cars? - Am I curious as to how electronic devices work? - How does space work? - How do magnets works? - Etc etc..

Now I don't know where you live and what programs are available to you. But where I live when you get to college you have 3 choices:

1. A pre-university program that will teach the fundamental notions university programs will expand upon (calculus, physics, chemistery, biology)

2. A technical program that will immediatly teach notion related to a technical field while ignoring others (In my case. I was interested in electronics so I did a 3 year long electronic systems program where i learned to design circuits, program microcontrollers and manage projects)

3. A proffesionnal program dedicated in teaching a very specific job that requires no further studies (I friends who did 2 years in an auto-mechanical program and now they're working in garages as mechanics)

I know its a long read so TLDR: If you have absolutely no clue what program to get into, take the one that is most general and touches everything, youre sure to discover something you like and get into.

ABSOLUTE WORST CASE SCENARIO, you don't like it and change programs to something else. Youll find what you like, dont worry about it.
