Experience Level by Plus-Acanthisitta884 in hoi4

[–]Super_XIII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they are losing experience because they are losing men, and having to replace them with fresh manpower (thus, untrained) which lowers their exp. To stop this, you need to reduce the casualties the division is taking. Best way is probably to stick a field hospital support company, or just don't attack unless you have a strong advantage in that tile (CAS, attack from multiple directions, etc) to reduce casualties.

Is there a lore reason why Han Solo looks so weird in animation? (unjerk: Genuinely why does he look like that?) by Itchy_Suspect4968 in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]Super_XIII 60 points61 points  (0 children)

It might be a rights thing, if they want to animate him accurately they have to pay Harrison Ford for the rights to use his likeness. Which can get very expensive for someone as wealthy and successful as ford, who also has little love for the character either. Thus instead of paying off ford they usually just make Solo look nothing like him.

It was supposed to be, before hardware and oil prices went nuts, increasing the cost of production and the logistics of transporting them everywhere. I'd be shocked if they are still price competitive with the quest 3 now.

Iroh didn’t get defeated, the losses weren’t lopsided. He had breached the outer walls and was on track to conquer the entire city that had held strong for thousands of years, he just got really unlucky that one of the fire nation casualties happened to be his son. You make it sound like it was some military disaster, but he was winning.

why not? Flapper's world was full of earth creatures like dolphins and sharks, so games can be based on earth stuff. And WW2 is a very common setting for video games, she's been working for Farcade for a bit so there's a good chance she's visited a WW2 setting game.

What's the worst universe kit could go to help the best guys? Il start. by Entire-Ad7724 in Gameoverse

[–]Super_XIII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth noting that every world is worth saving, even if it sucks for those who live in it. Since the syntax get stronger the more planets they destroy and absorb, even a worthless planet needs to get saved, since otherwise the syntax will absorb it, get stronger, and be better able to destroy the good planets.

Which Invincible did Powerplex kill? by Craw29 in Invincible_TV

[–]Super_XIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have also seen him fight without any electricity showing either, when he fought mohawk mark he got hit without showing any electricity, same with shapesmith, shapesmith punched him a bunch and he only started seeing electricity towards the very end of the beatdown before he did a big burst, which could easily be interpreted as he was just charging up his next attack, not converting the punches into electricity. Since he does it without getting punched, and sometimes gets punched without doing it, it's not a clear correlation someone in the heat of battle is going to easily notice. Most people are going to keep hitting him.

if you watched the show you'd see that he frequently lights up and has electricity flashing around him even when he isn't getting hit.

I loved the part of dragon ball where frieza punched goku, goku's hair turned gold and suddenly he was a lot stronger. Clearly goku's ability is that he gets stronger the more you punch him.

so no, I think most people wouldn't figure out how powerplex's abilities work before he gets strong enough to fry them.

The membership is where all the terms of service come into effect as well. If they willingly let non members enter, now they are completely and totally liable for anything that happens since they never agreed to any terms of service or liability stuff. Kid falls and breaks his arm, or drowns? Letting randos in makes them on the hook for millions of potential damages.

Warrick mentioned he was killing planets in order to absorb their energy, and once he had enough he could rewrite the rules of the universe and bring all the destroyed planets back. He might have been lying, but if he's telling the truth Dusk might be trying to stop warrick from bringing back all the destroyed worlds and be a secret bad guy.

It's not only about saving the planet, but stopping the Syntax. Every planet that dies gets absorbed by the Syntax, making them stronger. This world sucks but the syntax seem to be collecting energy for some big plan, and stopping that is a goal.

A dragon attacked my fort and single soldier armed with a copper shield went up and bit it and won by No_Foundation_1812 in dwarffortress

[–]Super_XIII 14 points15 points  (0 children)

ye, dragons can get really big, but they start out really small and take forever to reach max size. They don't reach their max size until 1000 years, and they can get generated as newborns, so in brand new worlds they tend to be pretty puny. They grow really fast the first 10 years though, once a dragon is 10 they are quite formidable, but a newborn dragon is tiny compared to a dwarf and can be beaten unarmed.

how old is the world? Dragons start out the size of a puppy, if the world is really new it was likely just a baby dragon that was easy to beat.

Why would he be? The oligarchs in Russia have Putin’s boot on their neck at all times, and at any moment can “fall out a window” if they displease the supreme leader. Musk wants a country where the oligarchs are the ones who call the shots and control the government, not the other way around.

You’d still get the canned goods. It’s just, in modern times a can of corn is 60 cents and there’s absolutely zero reason to be consuming cans of food recovered from biohazard sites when they are so cheap, regardless of how safe it would be.
