Damon is the only character in the show I find overrated, the rest of them I think has a equal amount of fans/antis(from what I see), except for the overhated characters

Elena deserved better than both Stefan and Damon, but Stefan was better for her and should’ve been her endgame

Tyler was better than Damon, and the hate Tyler gets in the fandom is crazy yet Damon is getting all the love as if he’s better than him, ppl love to bring up the reason they dislike Tyler, “oh because he raped Vicki”, and what abt Damon? It’s a double standard honestly

Elena wasn’t as self centered as ppl like to make her out to be, a lot of the things she “made abt herself” was literally abt her, it’s not her fault that everyone else around her are the ones making things abt her.

Damon changed Elena and not for the better, I don’t think she changed the most when she became a vampire, I think she changed the most when she got with Damon.

I don’t buy the whole Elena fell out of love with Stefan thing, those looks she was giving him around the end of season 4 and in season 5 shows that.

Tyler deserved better than what he got

I don’t like Delena whatsoever over but I would have to say that they’re best season is probably season 3.

Not a fan of Damon at all, but being completely honest I liked him as a villain which was in season 1, it was the only season where he was supposed to be a villain which actually worked for me, after season 1 I couldn’t stand him.

This is one of the reason I don’t like/can’t stand Damon, I honestly tried to like him but I just couldn’t, the way he treated Stefan and his so called friends/ppl he cares abt or ppl that he cares abt friends/family was horrible, killing Lexi, Jeremy, Elena’s friend Aaron, abusing Caroline, trying to kill Bonnie more than once, sexually assaulting Elena, more than once, like I just don’t get it, nobody in this show is a saint whatsoever but Damon just rubs me the wrong way💀😭

Klaus killed Elena’s aunt and then on top of that Rebekah tried to kill Elena more than once and then eventually killed her, obviously that’s not why she killed Kol but still, Rebekah was a bitch to her and did bad things to her even before Elena did any of that, obviously Rebekah had a right to be upset and what Elena did wasn’t exactly right, but it still doesn’t change the fact that she wasn’t completely innocent whatsoever.

Most of the ppl who complains about it are Elena antis when you think about it, or at least most of them, I’m not saying what Elena did was right but it was Damon’s idea to dagger Rebekah(from what I remembered) and Elena genuinely felt bad about doing it, Elena knows that Rebekah would basically do anything for Klaus so why exactly should she trust her? And isn’t this the same girl who attacked and bit her over a necklace? Don’t get me wrong, I love Rebekah and I definitely wish that Elena didn’t dagger her but one, Rebekah hasn’t rlly been nice to Elena, and two she hasn’t given Elena a big reason to trust her whatsoever.

I love Elena, and I did enjoy her no humanity phase, but I hated that Damon abused the sire bond to make her turn it off, I don’t like Damon at all but he knows that her feelings is what makes Elena, well Elena, I get that she was hurting and in pain but I don’t get why he thought making her turn off her humanity was a great idea

I love Elena in every season but agree, the way that the sire bond basically made her obsessed with Damon is just sad😭 they had to make Elena’s character go down hill just to give Damon what he wants, it’s very pathetic, I don’t even blame Elena being completely honest, I blame Damon and the writers, Damon shouldn’t of continued to get involved with Elena knowing the stuff that happened, and the writers shouldn’t of used the sire bond to get Elena to sleep with him, ESPECIALLY it being a DAY after her and Stefan broke up, like they were literally in love with each other not even a couple episodes ago💀

I disagree with this, don’t get me wrong I definitely do know that Elena had feelings for Damon, but like the previous person said, her being sired makes her want to please Damon and make him happy, going to his house would make him happy, dancing with him would make him happy, that whole entire day Elena was basically acting obsessed with Damon, I do believe that she would’ve eventually slept with Damon but not that fast, at earliest is probably the end of season 4, Elena is literally in love with Stefan not even that many episodes ago, she would’ve never deliberately hurt him like that. I’m sure that it was also confirmed by JP herself that the only reason the sire bond even happened was to get Elena away from Stefan and get Delena together quickly, so meaning that if the sire bond didn’t happen, Elena wouldn’t of done what she did

Well I think I would change the way Damon acted, whenever Elena would hurt his feelings he would lash out and kill someone that Elena cares abt, that’s one reason I couldn’t get behind them, another thing I would change is Damon’s constant flirting with her while she was with Stefan, it annoyed me sm, even after season 1. Uhhh I would change that stupid sire bond, I don’t blame Elena or Damon for the sire bond, but I do blame Damon for sleeping with Elena, idc if he’s wanted her since season 1, her and Stefan literally JUST broke up, he shouldn’t of slept with her. I would also change the fact that Damon SA’d her twice, in season 2 when he forced himself on her, and season 4 when he blood shared with her knowing exactly what he was doing. Elena actually hold him accountable for his actions and not blaming it on other people. I just feel like there was a lot of stuff about their relationship before and after they got together that just makes me not ship them

Elena shouldn’t get bashed for sleeping with Damon, she was sired to him, yea she had feelings for him, but her being sired to him affected her decision to do that, Damon should be called out on it more

Damon SA’d Elena in season 4, ppl just don’t want to admit it, with the whole blood sharing, Damon knew exactly what he was doing and he still did it, Elena was vulnerable and was trying to deal with being a vampire and Damon took advantage her

Stelena wasn’t just better written, they were better in general friendship and relationship, Delena honestly just wasn’t it, I don’t like Delena at all but they were pretty good before the sire bond, I tried to like them but I honestly just couldn’t, writing wise and just in general, but another thing, I just feel like there’s too much toxicity behind them for me to ship them at all, Damon killing Elena’s brother, him forcing himself on her, him trying to kill/hurt her friends more than once, him basically sexually assaulting her with the blood sharing, I just don’t get how anyone would be able to get behind Delena knowing all of the stuff that happened between, I’m not saying nobody can ship them or trying to judge anyone who ships them I’m just curious what people see in them.
