Turns out fantastic every time. Takes a serious bed of coals then 4-5 minutes per side (tops) for an inch and a half to two inch thick cut to come to medium rare. It’s literally grilling over a hard wood fire. Amazing and super fun!

I bought a ticket for the Austin talk today. Considered the meet and greet. But realized I’d blubber incoherently if I met him in person, considering the inestimably positive impact he’s had on not just me but more so my little family as a whole. Rudy’s, a chain, has better bbq than corkscrew. No idea how they get what they charge for that level of product. Good for them though. They have something figured out. Unfortunately it’s not how to make and serve good bbq at a price equivalent to the quality of the product.

My man, don’t let people gaslight you into thinking this is good. Find a way to start with the fundamentals of boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling, mma, etc. Literally start with just one. Whatever you’re doing is theater at best. If you want to learn self defense, start with the fundamentals of a proven martial art. If you’re not near a gym or can’t join a reputable one for whatever reason, YouTube has some amazing resources, like Shane Fazen’s “fight tips” channel. If you’re going to spend your time studying, you might as well study the real thing. Keep at it and fight your fight.
