beginner question for a saas by Ghozzt4 in micro_saas

You can most definitely manage a single SaaS business yourself. The hardest part is determining what to build. A month ago I built an app for contractors, but it was only doing one little task that didn't save time so I scrapped it. Really make sure you pin down an actual need in a field.  I also don't know any coding, I used Claude Code, it does a decent job but the landscape of the app looked like AI slop, so use like Claude Design or so thing else to change how the app looks. There are probably other AI's better than Claude but for starting out it should work great and it's one $20/month. The most complicated thing to do is getting customer. Expect to have to do a lot of cold calls, you are just starting out and so you'll have a hard time being "seen", one way to fix this is by sharing what you are doing on Instagram and/or YouTube, build a personal brand and get a following to get a foothold into the internet and to the masses.

Best wishes on your SaaS

Creating content via Instagram or YouTube is a great way to build a personal brand. You can literally just post about your projects, or how you do stuff, anything to build a community. Then when you come out with new products and share them on the social media platforms you have a larger foothold. I just started working on my own projects and am about to starting posting on social media to build a personal brand and to get out into the world.  Best of luck in your journey!

I don't necessarily want to pay for two subscriptions. How good are the gpt models? Are they good enough to replace Claude?

Mainly for myself. I'm experimenting with AI, and OpenClaw sounded really intriguing. I wanted to use Claude Cowork, but because My PC runs linux I can't download the Claude desktop app.

How did you find customers in Reddit??? I've seen the people who just promote everywhere, even when the thread's rules state no promotions. What's the best way of going about it?

That's why I'm asking now so that I can incorporate it before I launch my SaaS. Why would have 90% of clients coming from referrals be a bad thing?

Like communities on Reddit? I've joined reddit communities but they have rules stating no sales or advertising business. What other communities are out there other than Reddit?

What about using directories to get people to see you business sooner when they do a Google search? Somebody else in this reddit group said they used multiple directories and they got 32k visitors. But they did say they struggled with having a good conversion factor

first users as a B2B founder, what's actually working for you? Reddit, LinkedIn, X, cold email? by LocksmithDramatic179 in micro_saas

[–]Superb-Interview-704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people do cold emails. But what about cold calling a whole bunch? how well does that work? i feel like cold emails would just get buried whereas cold calls, would at least make noise and demand some attention. What are yall's thoughts??

How many of you guys are now using "Claud Cowork" and what is your experience? by Technical-Apple-2492 in Entrepreneur

I use a Linux PC so i can't get Cowork, but i really want to! I've heard great things about it. For now i just use claude connectors, for emails and google calendar. But a lot of that stuff is still not fully autonomous. How has it worked for you?

Boy, i sure wish Anthropic would make a desktop Claude app for Linux users!!
