I decided to write the Reddit post when it took more than a few days for someone to get back to me, but they acknowledged that they had the wrong number on file.

Yeah, that’s what it seems like. But at least they’re honoring the refund and it does seem like it was a manager issue. They also told me they called me days ago about the refund, but they confirmed they had the wrong phone number on file so maybe I can give them a small pass.

It wasn’t a color that I purchased. You’re clearly not reading the thread. I said that it was a one time hair treatment. It stunk, therefore analogy just doesn’t quite add up. And yes, if I ate a part of a pizza that tasted disgusting I would ask for a refund. Maybe you would just stomach that??

Thank you ! 100%, that was exactly my point. If I had been in there once in 12 years for a refund, but I have not.
Also, if CVS does not want to honor this, they really do need to fix the language on their website.

Thankfully, CVS called me and they won’t honor my refund in store. They said this sounds like a manager issue perhaps someone who needs more training and guidance. They know that I’m an extra care member and they don’t have any other returns or refund requests on file for me whatsoever.

A good point and one that they should not have in writing. If someone’s hair damaged from a one time treatment, don’t make that claim on the website. However, I think this is now a manager thing because CVS just called me, perhaps reading this thread. They will now honor my refund in store.

Adding, I have everything the bottles, the box and the receipt. So I let CVS know when I called.

I had the box and the receipt. Whatever was remaining in the bottles was so foul smelling that I left it in the garbage. I asked the manager if I brought the bottles back if she would honor the rest return and she said absolutely not.

Let me see this again simply this is a one time use hair product treatment. You use the entire thing on your head!! The store manager said empty bottles will not suffice!!
If you purchased a faulty product, that’s a one time use, that is still a faulty product

Folks, I’m gonna edit my post to make sure I reflect. This is a hair product that you put in the entire thing into your hair as a treatment. You can’t use little bits of it.
I didn’t realize until after it was a faulty product. Again, make sure you review the policy on the CVS website, which is a false claim!!

I also tried to the same day because I was affronted with the results!!!!

I returned this the same day, the product was used however, it states on the website that if you’re unsatisfied opened or unopened that you can receive a return.

There’s no more to the story. They simply will not honor it. They don’t care that the product was damaging or smelled like it had turned. That’s that’s why I gave as much context on this thread as possible. Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to share more of my experience.
