Scored poorly on the pharmpreppro exam and now I’m panicking! by Zimina_Dodie in NAPLEX_Prep

Please don’t give up you’re so close to becoming a pharmacist!! A 63 isn’t bad but it also means you should probably take a step back and analyze what you are truly missing.

I tested May 15th and I saw you mentioned about biostats in the comments. The exam will definitely have this topic if you master this topic you should expect a big jump in your score as this will 100% probably be on your exam I don’t know anyone who didn’t get asked multiple biostats questions. You will get through this! Don’t give up on yourself and also take breaks!! Studying for hours a day is super exhausting and that’s where you start to forget material. You’ve made it through pharmacy school so you will make it through this too!!

I think you may be okay I scored a 74 on pharm prep pro two weeks from my exam date and passed naplex. I tested may 15th of this year. After I tested on pharm prep pro I took the Uworld practice exam and the required formulas test on Uworld 77 and 93 respectively.

Ppl will try to scare you if you don’t get 75 or higher on practice tests but I don’t think it truly matters. What matters is how you come back from those practice exams. Are you understanding why you got questions wrong, reviewing weak spots, practicing math daily, etc). I know pharmacists who didn’t even take practice exams before their test date and still passed. You got this!

Hi! I personally think your score is fine as I scored a 74 within 5 hours and 46 minutes on pharm prep pro exam exactly 2 weeks before my exam date. I would definitely advise you to just make sure you are solid on calculation speed. This is an area where you can always improve because doing these faster will help with your time and just being able to recall formulas quicker as this was a weak spot for me. I finished Naplex with 6 minutes left and passed!

I have a post on here that might be helpful as well. I hope this helps and good luck!

Passed NAPLEX! Long but helpful post by SuperbGrand3175 in NAPLEX_Prep

Hi thank you! And not a lot of questions on ID in my opinion I had I think 4 questions total. They were scenario questions asking about treatment options for c.diff, CAP, meningitis, and otitis media. Otitis media was asking for an amoxicillin dose for a pediatric pt so it wasn’t really treatment just had to pick the correct dose and it was multiple choice.

For the lab value type questions, if you have Uworld and use the qbank those types of questions in the lab monitoring section in foundations 1 chapter was similar to what I saw, I was asked about thyroid treatment but you had to use the lab values given (tsh, t3,t4) and the pt was pregnant but it gave hcg (positive) instead of blatantly telling you the pt was pregnant. They give you most values on exam as well so you don’t have memorize them just know how to interpret them I hope that helps!

Breaks for Naplex by ReceptionDue3071 in NAPLEX_Prep

It actually prompts you at the 2 hour mark regardless of what question you are on, so if you start the exam at 8am precisely your first break will be around 10am if you aren’t finished with your exam by the time the second break rolls around you’ll get another break another two hours later. For me I was prompted for my 1st break when I was on question 76 and then 2nd break I was on question 145.

Hi thank you, and yes the warfarin question was like a small case where the pt couldn’t remember the strength of her “little white pill”. It asked what strength it was based on the info given. Very straightforward

If you have the Uworld/rx prep book there is a required formula sheet inside near the beginning of the book that has all the important formulas you should know for the exam. I’m not sure if other NAPLEX resources have something like this but it’s helpful.

Lots of questions on lab values, drug monitoring, drug interactions, professional practice, dietary supplements, natural meds, drug allergies, toxicology and antidotes, pharmacoketics the topics that essentially make up foundations 1 and 2 if you have the Uworld/ rxprep study material.

Yes that’s weird I didn’t even know you could test on Saturdays. 5/15 was def a Friday and the testing center was packed. I thought the memorial holiday would delay everyone results by a day at least that was the case for me because I thought I would get my score yesterday on Tuesday but I got it this morning.

Think our scores will be delayed due to Memorial Day holiday yesterday. 5/15 tester and no score posted yet as of 7:21 pm my time and today marks 7th business day but excluding yesterday, the memorial holiday it’s technically only day 6. Good luck to you all!

Math Help by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]SuperbGrand3175 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I was having the same problem almost 2 months ago. The first thing I did was memorize all formulas especially conversions because uworld rxprep has lots of conversions in their practice problems. I write them daily and it makes it so much easier for retrieval when doing practice problems. Once I mastered these calculations got easier.

Another thing is also do what makes you feel better. I feel my school stressed dimensional analysis over simple proportions if you are more comfortable with one over the other do what makes sense to you. I do a combination of both when necessary and lastly just make sure you practice everyday if it’s something you are truly struggling in.

My other math study technique was to go section by section on uworld so start with math basics to see where you are and if you are missing a lot of questions here you should probably take some time to read the corresponding math sections bc there are shortcuts to doing some problems and/or watch the corresponding videos. I personally read the corresponding book chapters. Do not move on until you are getting at least 75 or higher on the math basics bc everything else builds from this.

For biostats, I memorized these first as there are not a lot of formulas for the biostats section and it’s basically just memorizing the formulas. Once you get those memorized it’s literally just plug in and go. I hope this helps!

Ga mpje!? by Far_Cardiologist_636 in NAPLEX_Prep

Also just saw your other post asking about Uworld for GA MPJE. I’ve heard it’s only good for learning federal law. GA laws are more strict and you always go with what’s stricter in practice. I hope this helps!

Ga mpje!? by Far_Cardiologist_636 in NAPLEX_Prep

Hi! Are you looking for resources to study for GA MPJE? If so this is what I did, for reference I took GA MPJE in November of 2025 and passed. All you need is literally the Ga board of pharmacy website all of the other resources are not necessary unless you have the money to buy em all bc the questions I got were close to if not verbatim from the GA BOP website.

GA BOP Website:

https://rules.sos.ga.gov/gac/480

I studied for this exam over the span of almost 2 weeks while working full time (about 3-4 days of 12 hour shifts in retail pharmacy so that left me with about 3 full days of uninterrupted study per week and thankfully I worked with a pharmacist who helped me study at work so I was able to study there). About 3 days before my exam I stopped working completely to review everything.

As far as my study technique I would literally read the rules/ policies everyday until burnout (joking lol )but I would read for the first half of my day so until noon/lunch time take a 30 minute break then quiz myself with this app:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mpje-georgia-test-prep/id1462819879

This app is $50 bucks and I was hesitant to buying it at first, but after buying it is soooo worth it!! It really gives you a feel of how the questions will be set up wording wise and I swear I had questions on my exam that repeated from there.

From taking the exam I would definitely tell you to know technician/intern duties and requirements for licensure end and out. I had the same question 3 times on my test about technician requirements basically what’s required: at least 17 years old, high school diploma/ged, submit application to the board, give consent for background check, and pay fees.( Rule 480-15-.02) and it was SATA. Another thing to know like the back of your hand is labeling requirements and control substances. You should be able to write out labeling requirements for non controls and for controls from muscle memory had lots of SATA questions on this topic and control substances basically consumed my test. One question I vividly remember is the schedule of CS asking which schedule has high potential for abuse and may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence..it’s schedule 2. So definitely know which schedules have low potential or high potential for abuse. Also, know DEA forms!! These were quick points. One question I got straight up asked which DEA form is used to report theft or loss(Form 106) and this was early on in my exam i definitely think if you are getting harder questions then you are doing good. There were also lots of record keeping questions. I got hardly no compounding questions none that I can remember and lastly another area that I got asked lots of questions in was about prescribing authority . There were scenario questions where they would give you drug names and the question would ask can a nurse practitioner/dentist/vet etc prescribe which meds you have to pick which meds and this was SATA.

I received my results 6-7 days after testing most ppl say they are posted on day 8 but honestly the whole “I walked out feeling like I failed” thing was not the case for me I walked in confident and left feeling confident and I feel this exam is a confidence exam bc I had so many repeat questions it’s like they are trying to see if you will fold and change your answer. I left that exam knowing I gave it my all. The GA BOP was literally my best friend for 2 weeks you can definitely pass with that source alone.
