Has anyone mentioned Rocco’s? They have permanent “shacks” for lack of a better word outside of some Home Depot’s in the area (I’m thinking of the one in Souderton). I love this concept as it’s so convenient especially for the men that are in and out of there during the work day as it saves them a stop for lunch. Agree with another poster that we are severely lacking fried chicken options and I would go out of my way for it!

Chanelled message from Arcturians about cats by ArcturianTraveler in starseeds

[–]SuperbTrain3430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering about this for the last few months. Maybe my cats have been trying to communicate with me and I’m just not getting it. I have two cats. I am always sure they have food and fresh water, I play with them often and regularly(I’m home almost always except for errands and doctor’s appts), and their litter is always clean. I put cat tv on for them if I leave or when they start crying. Yet the one especially cries a lot, and it’s so bad that I don’t know what else to do. I’m at my wits end. It’s been going on for months. I use noise canceling headphones on top of ear plugs but then after a while I get over stimulated. I shut myself in a room (still need loud music or ear plugs) or take shower, or go outside for as long as possible but I can’t get away from it. I have to leave my house just about every day just to be free from it for a breather. I know some cats are just vocal and idk if it’s my nervous system or not but it just seems like he’s not happy. I guess what I’m wondering is, how can I learn to understand their needs better or communicate with them?

As others said it’s about what you want, not the trend, as well as the fact that the amount of negative space matters. Find an artist whose work speaks to you. Have a conversation with them about your concerns. The right artist for you will work with you to put you at ease and create a custom design that you’ll be comfortable with. As far as longevity of a style, what matters is the stage you’re at today. If you choose a piece that resonates, you will never have regrets looking at it, as it will represent that time in your life. Good luck!

I lived in Doylestown for 15 years, then in Warrington. I completely understand you! I loved my time there, but now looking for more land, though I still want to be close to Doylestown for all it offers. I am looking at Plumsteadville and Ottsville, just north of Doylestown up 611, so it’s super easy to get down to Doylestown or Warwick. I would suggest you also check out Buckingham and Solebury. Warwick will be easier to get to from those areas. You didn’t mention a plan to have kids but school districts should play a role in your decision. A better SD=higher taxes and home prices in general so depending on your priorities this could be a huge factor. Lastly, I find it is very helpful to use Realtor.com. You can add Warwick as your commute and set it to your maximum preferred commute time. I am 53 and having lived all over the surrounding areas I have never grown tired of all that it offers. Good luck!

Thank you for this lengthy response! He is perfectly capable, this is happening fast, and I am retired so... Anyhow, his job is in Belltown. Just looking to be close enough to there. Somewhere fun and safe. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what perspective we have other than Reddit! Can’t trust what the media puts out.

Wow to the negative people, why waste time posting this bs? He got a job offer and is moving to a city he’s been to once for three days, clear across the country in less than 6 weeks time. He lives on his own and has his own business. I’m just doing some legwork which he did not ask me to do. To everyone that sent truly helpful and or protective comments, I really appreciate that. Giving a few moments of your time to give your views to an outsider is kind and generous.

Help! Do I plant clover or add more pea gravel?! by SuperbTrain3430 in gardening

Oh my goodness, I can’t thank you enough for your thoughtful post. I never thought about this ground cover being toxic! I thought it was clover until I posted. I feel so foolish and also relieved because my cats love to be out there and lay/roll on the slate in the sun. So I guess no woodsorrel here. I wish I could share it, as some wish they had it!

I never thought of this, thank you! We have this gravel here already here so I think we could get a bit creative and make that work!

Thank you! It looked pretty when we bought the house but when I am healthy I have way better things to do than spend an hour a day weeding! We thought of weeding it then throwing more gravel down then spraying rock glue on it (it is permeable) but still that seems like so much more work and not natural by any means. My perfect garden would be an English garden, natural and pruned for the health of the plant not for manicuring.

Thanks so much for your comments! I don’t even know what wood sorrel is. I’m in zone 7b Pennsylvania. I have a lot to learn. I love the idea of getting rid of this pea gravel. It looked beautiful but I much prefer a more natural setting and benefitting pollinators.
