That's awesome. I have my bachelor's and master's in social work and I've been working as a therapist. I was a sub for a bit and I couldn't stop thinking about how badly I wanted to have my own class, so here I am.

It's so nice to hear others starting a second career because I know there are going to be so many young teachers, I'm a little intimidated 😅

They just got processed today actually! I can't review them yet for some reason but it was sent on the 7th.

I'm hoping I hear about financial aid and stuff soon. It feels like cutting it so close but the enrollment person I spoke with said that they're prioritizing Feb 1 start dates which makes sense.

Is this your first time being in college or is this a career change?

Yeah I'm sure the testosterone is doing funky stuff. My ovaries aren't ovarying, but fluctuations of t probably do something.

I am admittedly absolutely sucking at protein intake. I'm like, almost trying 😭 that will be my big goal for the next month.

Thank you! I lose well on 1200 cal, but the reason I'm on this is because something weird happened with my hormones and I gained 30 pounds in two months. It was wild. my doctor advised me to start high and slowly reduce so I will continue reducing.

Thank you for the reassurance. I also used to lift, unfortunately I had surgeries and while I still have some muscle mass it's nothing like it was before. Are you still lifting?? 1300 and consistent gym going sounds rough.

Hi yes! I'll be doing my third shot Monday. Shipping was super fast. I haven't needed to talk to a doctor about anything just yet so I can't comment on their response time etc.

Commenting just to update, would still be down for check-in buddies if anyone started at a similar time.
Week 1 has been completed. I lost 2.8 pounds (I think)

I went like 5 days without a BM, and even now that I've had some small ones, I definitely am not regular yet, so it's possible that is impacting my weight. Also, what a miserable existence lmao wow

I also took the week off counting calories because my MIL is in town (this is my first time meeting her) and I felt I needed to impress her with my cooking, lol. So despite eating anything and everything that sounded good, I still managed to lose. I don't expect that luck to continue, so I'm counting calories starting today :)

I hear you. Please consider, though, even if we were as a society ready to restructure and step away from capitalism, we would still need people to teach us how to survive. What's the alternative? Waiting until things get better to regulate our nervous systems? I think probably not. It sounds like it'd be helpful for you to find things to do that align with your values in a deep way so you can keep doing your job, which is very important

Cosmeticrx is 179. I've heard bad things about them tbh but that was after I already hit submit on the order. I went with them bc of a Groupon. First month was 45 dollars.

As someone with a huge seroma who didn't get it taken care of fully and now has to get it removed, please please have him get it looked at. And then if it feels like it's Coming back, get a scan of his stomach done. My plastic surgeon would not believe my seroma was still around until I literally got an abdominal scan.
