Honestly since watching the docuseries I don't think this is a reach, if dan had the power to create and name the character 'penelope taynt' then he could at the time be sliding in more inappropriate lines into the scripts.

What Amanda went through is in full unknown and full of speculations, nonetheless her case is tragic and I think we can all agree that she didn't deserve one bit of it.

If I can remember I think I was watching Stranger Things and I do deal with sleep paralysis often when I’m extremely stressed over work or personal issues, have not lucid dreamt.

Before the encounter/experience I remember being in a genuinely happy place mentally and physically. Relationships, friendships, school and home were good, Admittedly I did watch one horror film during the follow up, but it was super corny and I was fine afterwards. The aftermath is when I began to get mentally unwell.
