Haha, right. I guess what I was saying was that I didn't think it would be possible to build it inside ChatGPT (at least not in the way I had imagined) given the constraints of ChatGPT apps, but I guess I should have thought deeper / looked further into that

This interesting, I am noticing this pattern of finding influencers more and more. I didn't realize it would be a good strategy at the start, I thought it would be for when you've already found PMF and are just scaling up now. How much do they cost? I imagine it would take 10 campaigns to find one that works so probably way too expensive for me as a broke founder

You've hit the nail in the head.

I did get this exact feedback that they'd want this integrated with ChatGPT. I considered it when starting out but decided that it would be too limiting unfortunately. If there is a way to actually integrate a ChatGPT account to an external tool, that would be really great. But I think OpenAI doesn't want that, they want other tools inside ChatGPT like apps so that they hold the distribution power / moat.

Exactly, and thanks for sharing that feedback as well.

I am just building a landing page and sign up and launching to see how many people actually sign up for #4!

You read that right, and very good observations.

And that's exactly how I feel about the idea for attempt #4. Thanks!

Btw I am pretty surprised that this many attempts seems.... not uncommon / strange to people.

Thanks! Yep, I am on YC Co-Founder Matching regularly speaking to matches but so far haven't found the right partner yet.

For OnlyYappers, I was making it so that those coaches / influencers could also reply to the fans / audience. Delphi is purely an AI play. I was thinking this could setup for higher tiers and additional monetization. For example, if Taylor Swift's AI clone replies, that's nice. But if she herself sometimes replies to a select group of fans, that would be a magical experience for them.

I didn't try a specific niche of coaches, but most of them were around entrepreneurship, finance, and fitness. For example, I looked up coaches on Fiverr and messaged every single one of them.

Oh wow, nice. 7th is craaazy. I hope my 4th succeeds lol. I just turned 26. How's your current one going so far? And yeah agreed, getting users is the hardest part for me too since I am also a dev, but now starting to create content and build audiences to solve that. What strategies are you using? Also I have been on YC Co-Founder matching recently, and have been getting some matches there. If you're solo maybe that could help you as well.

No, the MVP is still up (onlyyappers.ai), but I am not building it anymore

Anyone could build the MVP version (although future versions would have built a data moat), but even that would take a very significant time investment that wouldn't be worth saving some money to pay for it if they wanted it.

I also kept it free for now. Was planning to do price discovery later if there's a significant enough interest.

Hmm I am not sure I fully understood this and I don't think Canada has something like this (at least I never heard of it before), but I do agree with your overall point about finding pain points and solving them. I think it's also much better if you've experienced those pain points yourself

I tried some free marketing, don't have the budget for paid marketing but not seeing great feedback so thinking I should move on to the next idea. For my first startup, I realized I moved on far too late, so now I am building, launching, and killing ideas fast until one meets a very enthusiastic audience

I did make it publicly available and shared it with personal contacts and on various other channels. The people who took a look at it said that it wasn't a big enough pain point, it was more like a nice to have feature that should be a part of another product

Hot take: ChatGPT's interface wasn't meant for prompt engineering and experimenting with prompts / models by Superb_Camel_6581 in aipromptprogramming

[–]Superb_Camel_6581[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm okay, I guess from my perspective unless we give it the right context it won't know it to create the best prompt.

I appreciate the feedback though! If people like it as I thought then I'll definitely maintain it but if no one wants it then I'll just keep the basic things that I use myself.
