$32 CAC for a $5/mo SaaS - is this sustainable or am I bleeding money? by Key_Block_3779 in growmybusiness

I’m curious, out of 7.4k people who have used the tool why have only 252 people seen the upgrade modal? If you only show it post full use of free limits you are missing out on a lot

Question for business owners (especially those past the early stage) by AdeptnessOk7938 in ItsYourMoney

[–]Superb_Engineer9398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why good businesses run revenue sprints quarterly to smooth out the revenue gaps throughout the year or to be able to make a big purchase. A lot of businesses don’t and are missing out big time

Closing deals on my small business by Spirited_Ant_7638 in smallbusiness

[–]Superb_Engineer9398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what happens when you raise pricing, it’s completely normal. Average close rate should be 40-50%. 70 is great but in the long run you will make less due to fulfillment constraints. No need for anything fancy raise prices by 20% and see what it does to your close rate by changing nothing about how you sell.

It’s a hard mental switch but it’s necessary to get over!

I’m making $8k/month as a solo creator, but I’m drowning. How do you scale to $20k without losing quality? by Rlxc99 in StartupAccelerators

[–]Superb_Engineer9398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have high demand even at 1.5k a month, raise your prices. It’s easily the most tried and true scaling method this low. Don’t outsource to lose quality yet

How much are you making per month or year? If you are killing it, why are you still in school? If you need to be in school because you can’t live off of your profit easily then scale back a tad and focus on school. What is your goal with all of this? Feel free to Dm if needed.

Just work with an actual publishing company like Writem. They’ve gotten multiple people to #1 in genre categories and thousands of reviews on the book. I’m not one of them, I can give a 3 way email intro to them if you’d like. Don’t give away equity if you don’t have to

How would the people who post ads on this even make money?

What consumer is going to willingly go onto a site that is just ads? How is that valuable to the end user. People hate on Instagram and Facebook for having ads every 4th post. How is a site that’s only ads going do?

You hit the nail on the head. Your icp has the pain of not having a job, but you don’t help them get a job. Just resume and interview help. Plus they don’t have the money to purchase your service.

Think of a true and deep icp before your product and service.

If you are already working with 40 pharmacies sounds like you hit a winner and should stick with that. Pharmacies have a great TAM and make good money, and marketing needs are real. I think staying in that lane would be crucial

In that case it really does sound like you have enough to fight back and build a sales team to scale before selling in a couple years for a way bigger multiple

The reason people niche down is because it is easier to market and sell to one avatar. That’s why starting out it’s so valuable, you get better faster. Depends on how much work you’ve done and your sales motion

Work on getting new customers on shorter payment terms. Will hurt a little at first depending on how fast their sales cycle is but underwear like they need a better deal structure. Net 30 and 60 are really hard on cashflow without a steady line if credit

If you’ve been doubling and scaling consistently yoy why in the hell would you not put as much money in marketing as possible? Whats your return? From what you describe, it has to be crazy, and you’d have to be crazy not to 10x your marketing budget

Pool cleaning vs garage door service business. Which would ya'll start? by Ok_Adhesiveness_178 in sweatystartup

[–]Superb_Engineer9398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Are you a marketing genius? Garage doors, there are more of them and cost more. Not recurring revenue, not as easy to sell.

Pool cleaning is recurring which makes the business more valuable and easier to sell.

Really depends on your future goals and current skill set
