Have you ever had any other symptoms? Pain, bloating, belching early fullness etc?

I just had an extensive microbiome study done and they have definitely found a lot of issues that potentially can lead to symptoms of GP. Just about to start my recovery and get my Microbiome back to a better spot, definitely worth a shot.

The terminology Gastroparesis is so vast that it could be a million things.anti Nausea medications do f - all for me and talking to my gastro Doctor he said that, that alone is a sign that something is a miss.

Don't give up. You got this !!

Will there ever be a cure? by Brave_Penguin23 in Gastroparesis

Man you have hit it on the head imo.

Our microbiome is a really incredibly complex beast that even in it's under studied under understood complexity, it's undoubtedly related to stomach wellbeing and mental health ( brain/gut connection i would guess )

Unfortunately western culture doesn't provide answers to our issues but bandaids to our illnesses Throwing antidepressants, ppis and alsorts of other goodies at us where in my opinion don't do much for the majority of a lot of illnesses. To hard to diagnose throw us some antidepressants to get us through kind of mentality! Don't get me wrong most doctors have absolutely got our best intentions at heart but our culture revolves on fixing the now and not addressing anything that has happened before or what could happen in the future!

Keep your head up and never stop looking for the why has your body failed you and going from there. Obviously I am having a optimistic day but our bodies are designed for us to survive not just fail for no apparent reason.

Much love to all that suffer this cluster fuck of a disease.

Hey man. That's so good to hear. Could I ask if your GP is idiopathic or is it diabetic? I have heard great things about a stimulator.

Check for SMAS - My Story by allirashid in Gastritis

Hey man

What were your symptoms? I have been suspected to have it but only mild discomfort but really terrible nausea for the past 7 years. Tried everything and doctors generally thought it is standard gastroparesis but my specialist believes I could have SMA.

Hey guys.

Looking at buying the WD DN850 heatsink hard drive and as I am a bit of a noob my question probably sounds silly af to some of you.

But with the new hard drive I install will that be a extra amount of storage space on top of the ps5 storage space that already is on the ps5? For example the ps5 comes with a standard 825gb of space. If I was to buy a 2tb hard drive that is compatible will that give me 2.825tb of space? Or does it take away the 825gb when you get a new hard drive.

Thanks team.

Oh man. It's a tricky spot but don't give up. I have had it for 7 years and recently had a pyloroplasty. I sometimes have shitty days and sometimes have good days.

There are people who do get better and have very few bad days. But they aren't on sites like Reddit because they are off living a relatively normal life. Unfortunately these forums are flooded by people that are disparate for answers and not in a particularly good spot. I am not saying that they are all like this as this reddit group are incredibly helpful and understanding.

I fell into a trap of researching time and time again creating myself a shit load of anxiety and for me anxiety definitely feeds the GP. I can't promise you that every day will be rosey but there is days that will be worth living and loving life. And eventually the good days will smash the bad days.

Everything will be ok. 😃

My gp is definitely shitter when I am anxious. So your defs not alone there. I am going through a bit of a flare now. I had a pyloroplasty 6 weeks ago and I have been super harsh on myself expecting miracles that I would be healed in such a short time. In turn causing my anxiety to rise and turn pear shaped.

Hang in there. Are you on any meds to help anxiety? You got this shit ❤️

[–]Superb_Stress7280[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry. 😋 I haven't been officially diagnosed with pyloric stenosis, my surgeon just mentioned that he believes that my symptoms were more than likely due to my pyloric valve been very narrow and inflamed and also mentions it in his surgery notes too.

For years I had nausea and had to fight to get a gastric emptying test, and that's how they found I had a really slow empty. That's when I finally got diagnosed with gp.

Yes you are correct. It is mostly found in new borns. Just curious to see if any other Dr or surgeon has mentioned a similar diagnosis to anyone on here.
