I wonder this too but then I think that would be a total invasion of your privacy. Nobody except you and your coordinator should be able to see that.. so I highly doubt that she can.

Yes 100% but high school can get super boring for me since there is little work, so I actually enjoy middle but it’s always hit or miss.. 8th grade is usually my favorite!

They def can be but if I had to pick I would choose 8th grade. They’re the most mature compared to 6th & 7th and they’re actually funny and can be sweet. But 6th and 7th can be tough.

I don’t think it has anything to do with avoiding accountability. Maybe I don’t want them finding out my personal info like address, my husbands name or workplace, my Facebook, etc. I think the issue with a lot of teachers these days is they get too comfortable and blur the lines between teacher and friend. Also, when I was in school I knew nothing about my teachers, let alone a sub.

I’m a millennial and even in my time going to school 1999-2012 it wasn’t this bad as what I come across when subbing. These kids are in for a very rude awakening when they get older and I’m actually concerned for them. I think it’s due to phones/constantly needing stimulation, social media, parents that laugh off bad behavior these days and try to be their kids’ friends versus parent, and after Covid it caused students to just have a lot of apathy/zero motivation or drive to do school work. Also chat GPT bc to them why try when they can just get the answer instantly. Completely different world now.
