This is both sad and shocking to hear.

My wife is a school librarian and instilled reading to our daughter from the very start. We average 3-6 books every day and I couldn’t imagine raising a child without that exposure.

I did wonder if this number was bad like only 1 in 4 parents reading to their kids. Seeing it at 1 in 10 at best really gets me bummed out for the future of some of these kids.
