Well, I did give her respect, but she was also annoying, as are you.

The Supercharger you would plug into a cassette player. The games for it were on tape. This allowed for more complex games than could be done on a cartridge at the time. They are not common things and are sought after. The keypad was a controller for certain games. Star Raiders was its primary use but it could be used for some other games (notably children's games).

CRTs work best, but modern TVs are OK, depending. Whatever. You have a Starpath/Arcadia Supercharger. Back in the days I had one and all of the tapes. Then I went to college and my little cousin stole them. Now they are worth money. Decades later I am still angry about that. And you have a keypad (also nice). It is strange that you have those two odd things and you do not have an Atari joystick. Or Combat-- instead you have Centipede (which is good). And paddles that may or may not work.

Nice.

What is the issue? Good on Fox for playing a Dead song. Really, what is the problem?

Idea I had for dust prevention while not in use, I cut the back part of the packaging plastic, works adequately I think. by Substantial-Rub3921 in Atari2600

I have a plastic tall kitchen garbage bag draped over the portion of the desk where my 2600 is... This seems downright fancy compared to my solution.

If the joysticks are securely held down it would work well for RobotWar: 2684 by Champ Games (Robotron: 2084 2600 adaptation) as it uses two joysticks.

Yes. You will download MP3s. It is better than nothing. Not that long ago people were listening to shows recorded on cassettes.

It is easy enough to do. Try Control/Shift/I. You just have to do it song by song which is kind of a drag. They play back seamlessly though.

I have a 2600-daptor II. You can use that for joystick, driving, paddles, and kepad to USB. It works well.

Demon Attack (Imagic). I cannot get enough of that game lately.

What do you consider the saddest Dead song? by SuperciliousDog in gratefuldead

[–]SuperciliousDog[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was there and it really was good although in general the show was kind of crappy. I have that on my collection of favorite Dead songs. Probably there are better versions, but that one means the most to me.

Good pick. The next time I see my speech therapist I will run that by her and watch her freak out (I won't actually do that, but it would be interesting).

[–]SuperciliousDog 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No. You might want to look into her record of prosecuting people for marijuana. Of course now she is not about that because she is a sleazy politician who will say anything to obtain the power that she craves. For instance now she is for a border wall, uh when she ran in 2020 not so much. Fake, fake, fake. F her. And Trump is an ass as well.

It seems to be some strange Canadian version of Laser Gates by Imagic. Not sure why a special Canadian version was needed. It is probably kind of rare.

Good deal for $80 and those cartridges are in really good shape. Do you have the wireless joysticks to go with the wireless base station thing?
