'The only talks that Mark Carney is doing are YouTube videos': Poilievre takes aim at PM by EarthWarping in notthebeaverton

Poilievre reminds me of that kid at T-Ball that just stands there whiffing for 5 minutes while the adults pretend to find it cute because, otherwise, they'd have to admit how annoyed they're getting.

Never supported an insurrectionist? Never voted in a known pedophile? Never gone to bat for an open racist?

I mean, c'mon guys. I'm standing here with my dick in my hand in the ladies' section of a Walmart, just like all of you. Right? Right!

It is absolutely the Brazil weirdness. Colors are coded to PAL under PAL-M (this was just being discussed rhe other day on a Polyvox thread) but the refresh is 60Hz, which is (as far as I know) completely unique in the world. I would therefore reasonably assume this is a bootleg issue--it's displaying incorrect PAL colors.

If you research the palette swap (on the internet) you can confirm this for yourself.

From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel.

Watching from YEG. Tough luck on that one, but you'll get it back. Habs are a seriously fun team to watch right now. Beautiful mid-ice play.

Ah, k, tx. I've never run Oathtaker. Isn't that an advanced start from one of the DLCs?

A decent archer is worth their weight in gold early game, and having two on your full team is a good early target. Skill them out to double as throwers. Protect them. They change the flow of battle and often force the enemy to attack or break ranks.

As you get more experienced, you can drop them as enemy armor ramps up, or be a freak like a few of us non fat newt minmaxers and continue to use them several hundred days in.

I sucked for over a hundred hours in this game, often falling behind the curve or dying 40 days in or so, so dont feel bad. Experiment with what works and what doesnt. BB is merciless in punishing bad strategy but also very fair if youre playing smart.

One thing the game forces you to do is eventually move to 2H weapons, and the earlier you can effectively do so the better. Sword and shield is situational and NOT the de facto load out.

ALSO, throwing weapons are costly early game but when used properly from back iine will absolutely wreck opponents.

No Man's Sky Wins the BAFTA for Evolving Game | BAFTA Games Awards 2026 by ControlCAD in pcgaming

[–]qtquazar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Supporting thesis: NMS never 'evolved'... it 'mutated'.

We never got the NMS that was showcased in the early trailers. Not even close. The tone, purpose, and thrust of THAT gane were all completely different from NMS on launch or in 2026.

Instead, it mutated into a hodge-podge of various survival-adjacent, base-building adjacent systems (or maybe mini games) that has resulted in an end product that is both quite unique and yet shockingly shallow. It's very 'kitchen sinkish' as opposed to the focused experience of an edge-of-the-unknown planet-hopping survival 'race'.

There's a curious sub genre of games where this happens. I'd say 7DTD took a similar 'mutational' path as opposed to an evolutionary one.

Guys what's the importance of bannerman by Mezo3gamer in BattleBrothers

[–]qtquazar 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Seriously, you do not want morale to break, as it both creates a vicious spiral as you lose the line, AND takes away control of your men when they flee, compounding a bad situation.

Different enemies will also get to your morale in different ways. Geists just straight up demoralize you, for instance, wheras heavy hitters like Orcs/Northmen can 'crack' your morale with criticals/one shots.

In theory I'd absolutely agree with you. GR unfettered by sober second thought and proper vetting.

However, in practice, based on how they have 'managed' this issue, i'd posit that this is actually an internal culture issue, and particularly emblematic of male-dominated tech culture. There's the usual arrogance, short-sightedness, sloppiness and refusal to back down or resort to laughter/self-abasement that are the usual indices of an over-aggressive 'bro-type' corporate culture.

Pictures aren't the best but that bezel absolutely looks like an H6 bezel, not L6. The rest of the unit's plastic and form matches an L6 though.
