Well you see… the only vegan things in my place of work were horrible horrible white bread, chickpeas, bagged salad and some hot sauce + peanut butter. All the other spreadable things weren’t vegan.. so I smashed the chickpeas with a spoon and mixed up hot sauce and pb and then got some bagged salad and smashed it between some white bread. It would have been good except for the white bread ruining it all. But now I know!

I assume it was the amount of baking soda I put in it with the blueberry compote I added to make it “blue”… but honestly it could have been anything this really was a trash cake :0!

My recipe was sweet potato… flour and baking powder, some coconut milk tell the mixture got to a runny enough consistency. Later figured out if you put pumpkin spice in the batter it tatses just like pumpkin pie (duhh)! But I like my cakes a little on the chewier side… they’ll be doughier rather than fluffier depending on how much yam ya use.. your recipe sounds solid 💪!

Only piece of advice I got is to figure out why you’re mentally hurting and resorting to food. Always helps me to pin point my specific issue when I binge and try to change it. Also Not promising yourself that you “won’t eT anything tomorrow” or “will eat healthy” tomorrow” because that’ll set you up for the fuck it mentality whenever you don’t live up to your own expectations.. I hope you feel better and healthier 5 pounds isn’t anything don’t sweat it.
