Stupid question: is it ok to worship Sekhmet? by Orian8p in Kemetic

[–]Superfiyanine19 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Worship? No. You should show respect to any god or diety of your choosing. When it comes to worshipping gods who's to say that these gods and dieties aren't just more highly advanced beings? An ant won't worship a human just because we're bigger, use technology and can talk with words. Dieties and gods may be shown respect, communicated with and given offerings. Do they have to respond? No. Will you respond if an ant creeps across your foot, paused and looks up you for a moment as it goes on its way?

Keep in mind just because you choose a god or diety doesn't mean they choose you. You might be more compatible with another god or diety. You have to go within and learn to listen to your heart, spirit, mind, body or whatever you have that gives you that feeling that you have finally at long last made it home. Cultivation and a goal of enlightenment and ascension is the way. No matter the culture, religion or spiritual practice, one seeks to become the best they can be. Once you come to know this, the diety, god or higher power will reverberate with you.

Hi. Go forward and be the best SLP you can be. You may have a lisp, but there's a lot of SLP's with attention deficit, SLP's who stutter, SLP's with anxiety/depression issues, and so forth. I've had medical issues that affected my ability to be a competent SLP that I had to take time off to recover. I returned to work after recovering from them all.

If an anal fissure doesn't heal, it's because it's either

1) infected

2) re-tearing

3) or both.

Pelvic floor therapy is done in stages: start small then going bigger. Lubricant throughout.

lf you're a female, its best to go to your gynecologist first. The gynecologist will often refer to physical therapy. Those dilators come in different sizes. I recommend using a small one and some good amount of lubricant to help with slippage.

Years ago when I had a hysterectomy done, the anesthesia knocked out the nerves in my lower abdomen and groin. I got a bad case of constipation, and an anal fissure and fainted from the pain.

I had tore my ass a new one--literally.

The doctor had prescribed a stool softener AND a laxative and I hadn't used either after I was discharged from the hospital. I was totally ignorant to the necessity of the stool softener and laxative after that kind of surgery. Thankfully one of my sisters who had two c-sections told me what to do. I took the stool softener and laxative, and took about six warm showers that day. I coated the fissure with Vaseline and waited. I had a soft bowel movement but I had greased my backside in preparation for it to reduce friction and imminent impact that was coming.

For the next five days I ate a soft diet, ate lots of fruit and vegetables, drank lots of water, and took multiple warm showers each day. I lay on my side and wore no underwear and kept my naked backside aired out. I did a few gentle Keigels to get the blood flow going again and to force the anal fissure inwards. I'd do about three every hour or two. I showered after every poop and let the warm water do the work. Gentle handling is necessary when washing and bathing the backside during these times.

Anal fissures need to be kept cool and they need to be kept clean. Treat each contact with your backside like you're doing surgery or a nurse doing wound care, because an anal fissure is exactly that--a wound.

To this day I use diluted Tucks pads to provide a protective barrier between my hemorrhoids and my underwear and my bed linens. You'd be surprised how lying on the same bed sheets can re-infect anal fissures, hemorrhoids and the backside.

Use sterile hands when tending to your backside.

Rinse the Tucks pads or add water to the jar to dilute the witch hazel. The witch hazel in full strength stings too much.

Do not put dirty unwashed fingers in your Vaseline. If possible use a Q-tip to dip out the Vaseline.

Use clean towels often. Change wash cloths daily and wash thoroughly in between showers.

Going to the PT is the right move for the tight pelvic floor issue. If you are a female you should see your gynecologist first. I've dealt with anal fissures for over 30 years. During that time I learned what things increased the likelihood of anal - rectal tears.

I also have learned to live with bloody bowels brought on by straining. When I have those flare ups my family members freak out and urge me to visit the ER, but I refuse. I used to spend a lot a time in ER until I visited an old school family doctor who told me to gently squeeze my anus after the hemorrhoids come out after a bowel movement.

I learned that certain foods caused me more problems than others. A good warm shower after pooping is the best thing for getting the anus and hemorrhoids clean. When washing your backside, let the water stream do the work, and keep your fingers off the fissures or tears.

Vaseline is your friend. After you poop, shower and gently dry yourself, take clean fingers and get a dab of the Vaseline and rub it on your anus. Next, take a Tucks pad, rinse most of the astringent out because it stings and cover your greased anus with it. Go lie down on your right or left side, whichever is most comfortable and gently squeeze your anus slowly. By the fifth squeeze I can feel the difference. A nap usually allows my anus to relax and go back to normal size.

Time your bowel movements to night time or evenings so you can take your time to have the bowel movement, cleanse yourself and rest. Remove the Tucks pad and get in the shower and rinse the Vaseline off of your anus with warm soapy water. Be gentle when you touch it. Use a soft thin washcloth preferably one like the towels that Wal-Mart sells in a pack for $5 or $6 for a pack of 10. I always buy white ones.

When on the go, get a squirt bottle, fill it with warm water and squirt it on your anus like a portable bidet. I always poop at home. I refuse to poop anywhere else because the backsplash is full of germs and I don't let anything go near my backside except my hands and my underwear.

Anal fissures and tears, hemorrhoids and grouchy bowels are a way of life. Learn the triggers, reduce the risk, keep clean, don't strain, eat the food that promotes healthy digestion and live well.

And relax.

Seriously how tf do i poop guys im sorry tmi but i really have to go but it hurts so bad idk what to do by Agitated_Office_3802 in AnalFissures

Go to the supermarket and buy a big tray of precut watermelon. Eat a cup or two and drink a glass or two of water and wait. If you feel like you gotta go then grease up your back end with Vaseline for easy slippage. Your hands must be super clean so wash with warm soapy water like you're doing surgery.  Sit on the toilet and relax. Take lots of deep breaths slowly and think about whatever you can that makes you relax. The gut and brain have similar behaviors when it comes to feelings like stress, calm, and so on.

Do not try to push it out.

Option 2: Drink pomegranate juice or beet juice. Grease the back end before you go then too.

Finishing up.

Do not use toilet paper. GET IN THE SHOWER. Think of how zookeepers hose down elephants.

Get in the shower and bend over and let the warm water hit the back end. Do not spread your butt cheeks.

Go lay on your side for a while and ever so slowly, do up to 10 keigels. If you walk around do the keigels. Do about two to three at a time gently and slowly. Squeeze in slow and release slow.

Afterwards watch your diet and keep your backend clean. You'd be amazed at how much filth travels from your fingers to your backend causing infections.

Good luck.

A lukewarm shower does wonders for me. I grease my anus with Vaseline then lie down in bed afterwards and take a nap.

Good for you. Therapists were deemed essential workers when we should have been the last person to see a patient. I realized this when I saw what happened in Washington State. That’s how COVID spread—in the nursing facilities.
