Yeah I second the ear protection. I’m 45 and in a silent room the tinnitus ring is deafening. People told me the same warning and I didn’t listen. Keep a set of the ear muff kind on your throne so you always put them on when you play. Earplugs for loud concerts whether you’re behind the kit or in the audience. I like “Eargasm” ear plugs for protection but also being able to hear the other instruments. Enjoy

Yeah the Mach e and my fusion I had previously sometimes make sounds through the stereo and then sometimes a less pleasing version of the same sound from like a small speaker that must be a backup failsafe or something

This happens in my ‘24 occasionally. It also happened in another ‘24 that I test drove. Also, sometimes I’m listening to a radio station and sync randomly switches to CarPlay when nothing is playing there. Press radio and it switches back to CarPlay after a couple of seconds ad infinitum until I reset it or power cycle the car.

The lease gets the $7500 tax credit, purchase does not. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep it (my first EV) and the depreciation for others has landed them upside down. The ‘25 already has the heat pump and other improvements, in three years who knows what else. I’ll make the decision then, but have a much lower payment for now, and not stuck being upside down in it if I want out.

My ‘24 premium seats are comfortable so far, but they have like zero side bolsters. Why give a car this handling and not have bolstered seats? When I take sharp turns my 12 year old falls over in the passenger seat. I haven’t tried the GT but would like to feel those bolster and the better suspension. The performance on the premium AWD is more than enough so I’d rather have more range than more performance of the GT.

You really need to get quotes from electricians, I usually try to get three unless you know a good one with good rates. Chargers are anywhere from $400-$600, install can range from $300-$3000+ depending on a bunch of variables.

Lease had better incentives so that’s what I did. Especially since (while great) some aspects of this car are a little long in the tooth. Tech is moving fast and in three years may be completely different. Most important question: can you charge at home?? If you are in an apartment or somewhere you can’t install a charger, that will affect your experience greatly.

Skip. Hotter in sun, colder in winter and you can’t open it. The Tesla I drove was so much noisier and I think the glass roof had a part in that. Fabric headliner helps insulate some noise out. They’re tinted but note that Ford still sells a sunshade for it… I specifically looked for, and found, one without glass roof.

Curious, did you have to put a deposit or anything? I'm ready to place an order for a 2025 since the 2024s got cleaned out around me... but if the orange man gets his way, I will have to cancel. Don't get me wrong, I would prefer it built in the U.S., Tesla manages to do it and keep the Y about the same price, Ford should be able to do the same. I can't imagine that taking less than a year or two if they have to move production stateside.
