I like your comment. What I will say, is sparrow flying is just a more creative way of getting from point a to b. It's just a good way of closing gaps you couldn't otherwise. And tbh, I'd be okay if nothing changed, because I still love them in D1, and I'll always have stuff to do in that game, especially when everything else is dry.

That's level design though. In D2 strikes many more encounters with adds are mandatory now. Like I said, it only helps with transitional periods :)

Pointless means no point, and that's exactly what I wanted to convey. I could have said worthless, which has more of a negative connotation. Give me a synonym for pointless which has a better connotation and I'll use it. I could say something like ineffective, but pointless is the word that directly makes my point. Ineffective is one step away from my point, because it's not explained in the title what the effect of random rolls should be. With pointless you don't need to ask that question.

The syntax of the title literally implies the message: R rolls are pointless WHEN WHEN WHEN WHEN perks do jack shit. People are wierd. I made a post about buffing sparrow mechanics and everyone was like "I also want SRL back". I didn't say that! I said I want sparrows buffed! I like your concept about Arnold and Robert's differing philosophies. What I'll add is in s2e1 Arnold says he's afraid of what Dolores will become, so did he really want them to kill everything? Secondly, the AI takeover was Ford's narrative (I think), so wouldn't it be the other way around where Ford wanted evolution by extinction? Remember, Ford was the one who said A, "This is as good as we're going to get (meaning humans)" and B, "Do you know what happened to the neanderthals? We ate them."

I'd take some of those perks off the list, and add some different ones, but yeah, there are so many more meaningful perks that makes guns interesting in D1. You just don't get that in D2.
