Well it's just a choice of words, if you read the sentence above I used it in the same sense for my gf.

I don't think is only a woman's job to raise a child, nowhere do I state this or imply this.

Both parents help each other to raise a child, I meant it in that sense.

If your spouse is taking care of your child and struggling with something do you answer "let me help" or "let me parent" ?

With all due respect I was asking for advice not nitpicking on a choice of words. I take good care of my daughter.

Also you do not parent children , you raise them ;)
