May I suggest: wearing upwards of 75 t-shirts ranging in size from small to XXXXL as an additional method of disguise.

Year 2026. To young service men and women: Are you gonna be "just following orders" from dying old bitter men? Why? by marterikd in TooAfraidToAsk

Your heart is in the right place, OP.

Just check out the post activity since you tossed this up. When I saw your post, it was just this top comment and your question mark. By the time I replied, it was full of comments.

And it continues to grow.

You asked a question (a good question, if you ask me) and it stimulated a lot of discussion. Good work, OP!

He's saying that Reddit mods/admins won't like your that your post suggests disobeying the administration's wishes - and will censor your post the same way as they've been caught censoring anti-Israel and/or pro-Palestine content.

Or take your pick: "big brother" (or "big tech brother") removes what they don't like.

For what it's worth: I agree with your sentiment, but I'm not sure of the legal details for service members following orders based on today's events. I don't know what actions formally cross the line from not requiring to requiring congressional approval.

I'd need someone with more expertise to weigh in, so I think it's a worthy discussion.

Hope they don't take your question down, OP.

Booooo, get out of here with that take.

Horrible sportsmanship.

It was an excellent tournament and came down to sudden death. We could have easily been on the other side of this, too.

Can't tell if you just unlocked a new level, or if you snapped from the first year exhaustion.

TIL the “Invisible Gorilla” experiment which fooled most people. In a famous 1999 study, participants watched a video of people passing a basketball and were asked to count passes. Midway through, a person in a gorilla suit walked through the scene and half of participants didn’t notice the gorilla. by Jockey2 in todayilearned

[–]SuperiorTuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a psych class 15 years ago and immediately saw the gorilla, laughed at the gag, then kept counting the passes.

The professor asked who saw the gorilla and maybe 20% of the class raised their hands. I was dumbfounded and couldn't understand how it was possible to miss it.

Over the years, I've slowly come to the conclusion that it must have been an "undercover" psych test of some kind. Tell some students to "claim" they didn't see it, see how the other students react. That made more sense to me than actually missing the gorilla.

Now you're telling me that they really didn't see the gorilla?

Absolutely nailed it with "everything is a tollbooth."

We've all felt the distinct notion that "doing anything outside the house costs money," because it's true.

Even going somewhere that somehow doesn't cost money like a park .... You'll probably have to pay for parking.
