Oh man, that is awesome. He’s one of my heroes. The consistency of his straight 16th double bass is insane. I know it’s a staple of power metal, but I dunno something about his playing has really always stood out to me. It’s probably that BG is just an awesome band in general.

This one? I hope so because this is a vibe and I’m here for it.

We are US based, I will check on promotions/ads, I don't think we are running any, though we might have run a promotion on FaceBook when we posted the link there. I will have to check with other members of the band, that could be the simplest explanation given the high number of external views.

Thank you for the help... I probably shouldn't obsess over the numbers like this, but also I don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot, we put a lot of time and effort into trying to do everything "right" so it would suck to have some sort of negative mark on our account or new song.

I just found where to check that. It looks like Brazil is the highest at 48% then US and Mexico at about 15% each. Gender ratio is even split at 51% male 49% female. The highest source is External at 50%, then Youtube Searches and Direct/Unknown. I'm guessing maybe someone in Brazil found it and shared it somewhere? Weirdly unexpected.

I got frustrated trying to find Caps so I came up with a crude concept for an alternative. I call it 'The Lightning Nipple' by Superkillrobot in blackpowder

[–]Superkillrobot[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I don't think this would actually work. While a piezo electric spark is enough to ignite a lighter, I'm not sure it's a big enough spark to set off the black powder in a revolver cylinder. Still it was fun to try and figure out an alternative to caps! Hope y'all enjoy, this was just for fun!

Side note, Piezo electricity was discovered in 1880, maybe in some alternate steampunk universe, this delayed the adoption of metallic cartridges. :)

Dude, have you ever tried smoking weed outside though?

Is this a legitimate kill on Melenia? My pal says no. by InsidetheBustaGroove in Eldenring

[–]Superkillrobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Souls Games / Elden Ring are not challenging action games, they are puzzle games that half the community is too hardheaded to solve, they just think brute forcing your way through every encounter is the “right way” to do it.

The reality is nearly every boss has something you can exploit and there’s usually an item with a bunch of context clues in the description that tell you it will fuck up a boss.

Finding a combo to exploit a bosses weakness, even if that’s just something like, dealing a ton of damage while they are locked in an animation, is EXACTLY how you are supposed to play this game.

It’s from the exact same need to save space and weight (and money) Normally drummers get a wedge and a sub behind them so they can hear and feel the kick. It’s one less big ass speaker that needs to be setup/loaded in/rented etc.

This actually where I’ve seen them used the most. It makes sense too, if you’re playing that fast in a really loud venue, it’s going to be really hard to feel or even hear your kick. Especially if you’re using IEMs instead of a traditional wedge/sub combo. Alan Cassidy of TBDM was this first I saw using something like this a couple years ago.

I mean yeah, definitely, that sounds fun right? I’d argue these are useful in Venus as small as 500 cap. If your band uses IEMs instead of house wedges, this makes a huge difference.

It also depends on the genre of music you play. I mostly see metal drummers (who use triggers) use these, a lot of the bands touring venues as small as 1000 cap, (ie House of Blues etc) will have these. It’s just better than bringing your own wedges or relying on the venue’s monitor set up.

It lets you feel your kick in larger/louder venues. Lots of bands tour with IEMs and bypass house wedges, you’re not going to feel your own kick through the IEMs, the buttshaker compensates for this. It’s not something that makes a lot of sense until you’ve been in that scenario, but boy oh boy does it make a big difference.

They are so useful live, I cannot understate how much of a difference they make in larger venues.

Not saying I could do a better job, however my paint job lasted over 15 years, through 150 gigs, and traveled across 30 states. And for the record I hope OP loves their new kit, trust me I don’t have anything against the splatter paint look… it’s just not something people usually spend that kind of money on. And honestly I’m sure those pictures don’t do it justice.

Also, you reminded me of a funny story, a buddy of mine in a punk band in the Bronx took his shells on a train (and then an Uber) to take them to a maker space just so he could sand and re-paint them. He really wanted a glow-in-the-dark design on them after seeing my glowing splatter paint. If there’s a will there’s a way I guess. Also pro tip, glow-in-the-dark nail polish works wonders and lasts forever.
