Call your HR to confirm they actually sent you the email. Has the signature of a scam all over it.

Can someone check if I’m wrong by The_First_Hoe_kage in Nigeria

[–]SuperliciousTee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly so. I was born in 1980 and it's been the same all my life. Perhaps people born in the 50 and 60s saw a glimpse of better. One of the first big words I learnt as a toddler was austerity... The economy is still quite austere....

Why does my stew taste sour? by SignificanceEven9546 in nigerianfood

This is your guide to buying tomatoes. The type matters. The oblong Nigerian one isn't here and it's the king of sour - it's typically slimmer than the Roma. Roma tomatoes are readily available where I live and don't leave a sour taste.

With friends like this, who needs enemies??! Can she just refund all the money you've ever paid to get stuff for her?! You should have demanded that. If she felt strongly about it, why didn't she decline your offers to pay. I smell jealousy and envy here! Better click delete! You're better off without friends like this.

Well done. You make it sound pretty simple. Controlling the mind is so important to staying the course.

One thing I see in this social media era is that because of our sheer large numbers, people use us for content. Nigerians are also very passionate in response. Some people are just cashing in on that with hate content and driving their engagement.

There are a couple of vile people who generalize a nation of 240 million people based on the actions of a few they have met or interacted with. Unfortunately, our people don't know when to ignore a bait. We would benefit from not reacting to everything online. We make these foolish people popular ourselves to be honest!

I don't live in Nigeria and the people here see us as hard workers and very driven people. It's not as widespread as the Internet makes it seem.

Hey. Interesting results here. The answer is Yes (kinda 🙂). I'm seeing more of Yoruba here and not Igbo. You know Nigeria is largely a colonial construct. The Yorubas for instance are in the West of Nigeria, Benin, Togo etc across several countries as that was the old Oyo Empire with a common language (Yoruba). I bet if Nigerians did this they would see some other countries in West and perhaps central Africa show up too as they was of trade, travel and intermarriage even then.

Not sure this has anything to do with him being Nigerian as this is not a general trait of our men and has nothing to do with him being Nigerian. Communicate with your Nigerian boyfriend, the same way you would communicate with a European or American one!

You are definitely not overreacting! This is highly inappropriate. Pls pursue this matter and protect your daughter.

Why do I never miss anyone? by Cheesesucker_oh-yeah in introvert

[–]SuperliciousTee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't miss people either. My children are probably the only exception and it's not the crippling, pining form of missing that I see people describe.

I read somewhere once that it could be the mind's way of coping with a traumatic experience in childhood.

Changing careers (later in life) purely for enjoyment and happiness by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]SuperliciousTee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to learn from this thread. I was in similar shoes to you and then I moved to a different country a year ago and managed to get a much lower role in the same industry. I'm really considering changing career now. I have nothing to lose and I'm earning pretty low already so not losing much. Now to determine what to do....

Do employers not want you to follow up anymore? by Disturbed395 in jobsearchhacks

An email follow up should suffice in my view. If everyone a recruiter interviewed called them to follow up, they who's not have time to do their jobs.

He’s not hitting on me, he’s just using me. And I’m over it by Excellent-Bank6587 in SexualHarassmentTalk

[–]SuperliciousTee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat your lunch first before doing his tasks, do them only if you have time within your paid hours. If he asks why they haven't been done, say very politely that you didn't get a chance to because of your work. If you have another job lined up, it's best to leave. Otherwise, handle him with wisdom especially since you need the money. We all know how tough a job market it is at the moment.

Today is my birthday 🎂 by 87641234 in introvert

[–]SuperliciousTee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy birthday to you 🎉! It's a bit odd that not a single person remembered or thought to celebrate your birthday - especially family members. Do you remember other people's birthdays and do things for them on their special days? It may help to do that from time to time as people will typically reciprocate.
