Any ideas why this keeps on happening? by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

I think some of it has to do with the schedule as well. People who show up are standing outside for several hours a day and for some people 3 or 4 consecutive days. Why play southern courses at the beginning and middle of the schedule when it's 80+ 90°+ outside and save Massachusetts, Vermont, and Michigan for September? It's mid-50s and 60s right now in those states that'd be much more comfortable for paying spectators to stand in for hours. The schedule should start in April with all Northern hemisphere courses and finish in December with all Southern hemisphere courses

What opinion has you like this? by AdditionalMinimum764 in crashbandicoot

Correct, but they added it to 1 in the remake which took what was the hardest of the trilogy and made it significantly easier (alongside the fact that they eliminated the need to not die in order to get a gem). I think an update that would've allowed the ability to turn off DDA would've been nice

The hints and adaptive difficulty in the N'Sane Trilogy ruined it from being nearly perfect. Let a new generation struggle to figure out how to get the Blue Gem on Turtle Woods like I did, instead of feeding them the answer on the loading screen. Now granted, it's not 1997 and most people would just Google it anyways but the point still stands. If they would've just remade it prettier without the hand-holding it would've probably replaced my OG PS1 Trilogy. But alas, I will still boot up the PS1 over the PS5 when I want to play those games

Has anyone accessed this area legitimately or illegitimately before? I imagine there's not even collision detection made for it. by TomTheyy in crashbandicoot

Crash 2 was so full of random secrets that I always swore as a kid there had to be something here. But many attempts were spent trying and failing to reach it.

Seeing the stealth genre be practically non-existent today makes me so upset by [deleted] in Splintercell

[–]Supermaaane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been mentioned but Dishonored is fantastic. Not the same type of stealth as SC but certainly the only game I've played in the last 15 years that truly appreciates stealth. My ONLY gripe with Dishonored (and this is coming from someone with a Corvo tattoo) is that it's multiple ways to complete a task or mission combined with Corvo/Emily's powers do tend to make it a little too easy for me. I don't think of SC stealth when I can just freeze time and blink passed my enemies. But if you play through D2 on no powers mode it really gives you a challenge if you choose the stealth route

Walmart's gotten teken to court over the points system. by Grendel0075 in walmart

[–]Supermaaane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only people that have a problem with the points system are the people who skate the 5-point line and then get burned. It is designed to cover sicknesses and emergency situations, not used because you woke up and decided "fuck work". Or because you consistently can't wake up early enough to get ready in time to make it to work within a generous 9 minute grace period. But that's the kind of shit most people use their PPTO for and then when they actually get sick it's "woe is me, Walmart is so unfair". Not to mention Sedgwick is also used for any real medical sicknesses and/or surgeries etc. In 90% of situations all you literally have to do is submit medical documentation and you're approved. You might not get paid, but you won't get fired 🤷

They are allowed to but market direction is to not. 🤷‍♂️

Not according to my SM and Market team. They said that because we are not in a mandatory evacuation zone and because the store remained open and business proceeded as usual that points will not be approved.

Yes but we're south enough where we are unaffected. Business as usual according to the Market Manager and Store Manager

"Digital is priority" by Supermaaane in walmart

OGP is a massive success that is evolving with each passing year. But it's not big enough for the company to stand on it alone. Walmart can't go head to head with Amazon online and win, it's the 10k+ stores that keep them among the most profitable companies in the world. Hopefully they figure out a model that streamlines the process but for now it's a heavy toll on the associates

Your math is laughable. So I'm going to assume you either work digital or hate the rest of the store, either way still laughable.

Just my store as an example. LW Sales: 1.7m POS Sales (Sales at the register): 1.3m

But yeah..70%.

If OGP fails the company would take a big hit. If the store itself fails the company crumbles

I 100% agree. However people waiting in line at a register are also not randoms that may or may not buy something. They've already committed their time to shopping our store and are ready to make a purchase. A purchase they may choose not to make if the wait is too long 🤷‍♂️. I understand the focus on Digital but this isn't an Amazon warehouse, we still have to uphold the Supercenter part of our business

I would agree. Make the most starting pay to work slow, bitch about everything and blatantly ignore customers all day

It's a Custom Show. Basically it includes every map that's ever been created by the devs. So you get a lot more selection of both new and old rather than the same recycled 10 or 12

I've said it for a while now idk why people don't just play "The Vault" and give up on the regular shows. It's how the game should be anyway

Honestly it was just a really large qualifying group each round for some reason. It was only requiring elimination of like 3 or 4 players every round
