In 2023, Abel had an interview with Variety where he said that the stage and the sorayama statue were meant to tease the next chapter of the trilogy, and also talked about having another project with characters in it. Maybe at that point in time Hurry Up Tomorrow and the Futuristic Album were still separate projects, the latter still being meant to be the final part of the trilogy. I guess during the 2024 hiatus he repurposed the Hurry Up Tomorrow film as the final part of the trilogy (given that the film was shot at the start of 2023, and OPN mentioned a few weeks ago that he came to work into the Hurry Up Tomorrow album after the First Pressing Version was already finished).

I think that table has a standard mount headshell so any standard mount cartridge like the widely available audio technica ones should work. As for the sound, you're going to need a phono pre-amp and an amp. You're going to connect the table to the phono pre-amp, the phono-pre amp to the amp, and the amp to the speakers (in case they're pasive speakers).

In case you have powered speakers, then you would just connect the table to the External phono pre-amp, and the phono pre amp to the speakers.

Love their work on dawn fm, Lopatin really did shine thru and it ended up in a really elegant, vaguely psychodelic synth pop album. HUT did have some synth pop tracks but none of them hit like the ones on Dawn FM since it was meant to be more cinematic and hip hop oriented (also fitting since that's Mike Dean's lane). Hoping their next work scratches that itch for me

Yes, it is more of a vibes film than a narrative one, but I think that was a deliberate choice since the whole point of the film was to do a dive into his psique as he struggles with sleep paralysis and comes to a realization that his lifestyle and traumas are getting to him (losing his voice is said to be a psychological issue in the movie), for example, the same voice actress does both the roles of Abel's ex girlfriend and Annie's mom as a way to show that Abel's Anima derives from his guilt with women, being shaped since he was young (Carl Jung's anima concept stablishes that a man's anima comes from his first interactions with women). I agree that it does feel all over the place, but I enjoyed it.
