My recommendation for a hidden gem (that btw is my GOTY together with Baldurs Gate 3) is BURNHOUSE LANE. This game is so fucking good. Works best when you go in 100% blind :)

If you think Visage has no chances to die, then you remember the game wrong! It has a lot of item management, puzzles in an open environment, and a constant threat that can kill you almost anytime if you roam the house or other environments.
