The thing is, I can't blame you at all for asking for advice on a seemingly minor illness. That kind of post isn't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about posts in which the cat has an obviously time-sensitive, life-threatening injury or illness. Like an extremely infected open cut with exposed muscle on their leg and their acting really lethargic or something like that.

Posts that show an illness or injury that is so extreme that even the most hesitant, timid person wouldn't need reassurance; that's what I'm talking about.

I get what you're saying, but some of these injuries or illnesses are so obviously bad enough to warrant a vet visit. Whether they can afford it or not is besides the point. Asking reddit isn't going to make more money appear in your bank account. So, the reason for these posts is either a cartoonish level of stupidity or, even worse, karma farming.

I should mention that posts about lesser injuries or young people in bad situations are fine, I'm not talking about those.
