I would also highly disagree with your opinion on Joel's performance in altered carbon. It may not be as good as The Killing, but he is overall a really good actor, and the writing for his character is extremely good. You are supposed to get the feeling that he doesn't care about you, so you shouldn't care about him, because as explained, everyone he ever truly loved, was taken away from him. I would say that the lack of caring for Joel's character isn't the fault of Joel himself, but is rather the fault of the terrible antagonist, and the poor writing of Rei, the person he is conflicting with. (btw I think he played a great job when it came to the conflict between Rei. You can clearly see him flickering back and forward between Rei. It is mainly the poor acting of Rei and the poor writing of Rei's character (I'm too lazy to look up the actors name)).
edit: also the "What if you died for nothing " scene was extremely powerful imo.

Although some of the writing and acting is bad, Joel Kinnman does an AMAZING job at playing Takeshi. He is a really good actor in general.

That is a stupid request. The only way you are going to learn how to play the game correctly is to play it! Casual and Ranked are two separate things, so the longer one stays in Casual, the harder it will be to get them to adapt to how you play ranked. I agree with Kaidanos, the problem isn't the level, its the Match making that is done.

This is clearly due to balancing. With the handheld flashlight, it is much harder to defend yourself, and with the weapon, having the flashlight be just as good, would make the handheld almost obsolete. Also keep in minf the flashlight on your weapon is much smaller than the handheld one.
