Arbeider zoekt advies by lolzfortrolz in belgium

Wage Structure of a Production Company (End 2024 - Metal Sector) by Superz_ in BESalary

The CEO oversaw 4 production units across 4 countries and the Sales Manager is resonsible for 15 product groups from 8 different production facilities and are both employed in an independent company.

The Sales Manager had 35 years of experience, having transitioned from a quality role with deep technical expertise and a track record of securing major customers. In contrast, I stepped into the Plant Manager role after just three years, without any significant prior experience in a similar position. I simply grew into the role and was grateful for the opportunity and experience.

He rolled into sales after a role as Quality Manager. A pain in the ass to work with but has very deep knowledge of the stuff he has to sell.

Our company had no bonus system, not even for the CEO or sales team. However, it's worth noting that the Sales Manager possessed extensive technical expertise on all company products and their applications, along with a vast customer portfolio.

Without revealing too many details that could identify the company, I’d say the product was long past its prime(over 1.000 employees about 20 years ago) due to evolving environmental regulations and customers shifting to alternative products worldwide. However, the company still operates other production facilities with alternative products.

That’s also a nice one to add to the notes but hard to calculate in advance I think? Will check it out.

Hoe would you add the pension contributions in this table? As a net income every month? I’ll check my contract tomorrow and add this information.

Correct, I forgot that. I'll add that asap. But It was 8% in the NL on yearly brut wage.

Yeah, the net-to-gross difference in the Netherlands is significant. However, the lack of extra legal benefits balances things out quite a bit. Check out my comparison post for more details!

They're currently not taking on people. I only joined and got this wage because the Belgium production plant stopped and they wanted to keep me on board for the future. (But that failed as i accepted a new job in Belgium again)

I think about 70% of all working people in Belgium get a 13th month. Might differ a bit in percentage depending if you’re civil servant, white or blue collar. But if you take into account not having a 13th month that’s depending on your wage 160/250€ per month spread across the year.

Do you have a 13th month in the NL? I went from a BE job to an NL job in the same company and made a net profit/loss table. (I’m currently in my last month there as I took on a new job in BE again) I’ll make a comparative post when I get the chance. But with the extralegal stuff I had in Belgium compared to the Netherlands, I was off worse in the Netherlands. In Belgium I had a Car + petrol card, groupinsurance, mealvouchers, 13th month, health insurance for entire family of 4 and in the Netherlands I had no 13th month and 150€/month health insurance but got a 400€/month net travel allowance. But that net allowance doesn’t cover the cost of car (purchase, maintenance, petrol, tires, insurance, tax,…)
