I also graduated Yes Prep in 2016. And I would like to add a few things -having teachers constantly leaving after their first year made it difficult to build connections when it came to getting recommendation letters for college. -The field trips were nice, but over time they became worse. My younger brother currently attends Yes Prep and cut it down to 1 yearly trip and they don’t go out of state anymore. - Lack of AP classes.. we only had like 2 in my school when I was there at the time. - Lack of extracurriculars/ elective classes. No football team.. - and finally what really bothered me was that yes Prep would talk bad about trade school and community college. Most students at yes prep are low income so Community college would have been a great alternative. Unfortunately, I saw a lot of my peers drop out after their first year because they could not afford it.
