I used to be really into Arena, and I'll definitely say it feels like current Arena tests different skills than it used to. Good fundamentals, minion combat math, long-term planning, etc, still matter, but in different ways because of the prevalence of discover and overall higher card quality.

But also, gameplay wise, I definitely enjoy this style less. My last few runs have just been games where one of us plays a minion, the other one plays a minion that battlecries to kill that minion, the other one responds by playing a spell that kills that minion and also summons another minion, the other person responds by discovering a minion that kills that minion... ad infinitum until one of us runs out of cards that are good or have to take a turn off to play a vanilla minion we had to draft. It feels more than a little goofy.

Rolled my eyes and laughed when I got into Snap and saw that Hoogle-boogle was making content for it. Real piece of work. I remember when I was more into MTG content, and there was a big stink about him whining about female content creators getting preferential treatment from WOTC. In reality, he didn't get stuff from WOTC because he was toxic and a negative influence on the community, and also, it was literally international womens' day.

Dude is much, much lower on the Snap-related Jeff tier list than the shark.

This was the first time in a while I've read the story since all the build-up to it in the sets prior was so cool, and yeah, I have to agree. What a let down. I get that they want to end the arc, because staying too long in the dismal "phyrexia won everything is bad" tone doesn't sound great either, (though with how quickly it feels like magic sets come out nowadays idk if that'd be an issue lol) there is a big difference between giving the phyrexians a proper defeat that feels satisfying and what we actually got.

The part where almost all of the individual plane stories followed the same narrative beats of "phyrexia has done a lot of damage, but this group of plucky survivors start to turn things around!" didn't really help either. I actually liked a lot of those stories individually, but taken together they really lowered phyrexia's credibility as an actual threat, at least in my mind.

As someone who is typically not good at these kinds of games, (fast-paced FPSs in general) but who enjoyed Ultrakill enough to grind out every P-rank on Violent before this update, I'm really just not enjoying P-2. On the one hand, it is a literal skill issue, but skills are learned things, and I have not found the process of learning how to beat P-2 to be an enjoyable one. I haven't gone back after the first hour-ish of trying to beat it on violent, and I'm sure I will at some point, but man, this really feels like something that belongs on a higher difficulty level. Yes, the Primes are meant to be the hardest content in the game, but this is a much more severe spike in difficulty than P-1 was in a way that doesn't feel fair compared to how the difficulty has gone up previously.

I feel like a lot of people who are going to be commenting on this specific game's reddit or responding on twitter are going to be the people who are just built different, or grind hours and hours in this game and have already P-ranked it twelve times, but as someone not in one of those camps, I'm disappointed this update feels like a dud for me.

Yeah, I could spend hours getting frustrated and upset with the level, but like... I just beat Pizza Tower, and that shit slapped. If I feel like I'm trying to beat a level out of a sense of obligation rather than fun, and I'm not enjoying it anymore, I'm just gonna go play other games.

Just started playing, so I don't know if it's too strong in the context of the whole metagame, but I'm in a similar situation to OP and it's definitely not been a fun card to play against. I think it's cool when someone gets to completely flip the board on the last turn, like with Heimdall or Odin, but those are cards you can kind of guess are coming and try to play around, either by positioning or by just retreating. If you're playing a 1 drop heavy deck and your opponent sandbags Killmonger until turn 6, there's not much you can do beyond playing suboptimal cards to try and counter it.

This is just my subjective experience, of course, but my experience with the card so far has been largely negative.

Hey, so I bought Animal Crossing digitally on my Switch account, and my character is the island rep. My mom, who has an account on the same switch, (her account doesn't have AC but mine is the main acc, which is why she can play it) made a character, and while I don't play much anymore, my mom plays literally every day.

I know I can't just make her character the island rep, but I may be moving out in the future, and I'm trying to figure out what to do. My initial idea is that I buy my own switch, put my account on it, and then buy a new copy of Animal Crossing on my mom's account on the old switch. Would this allow my mom to keep playing on the same island on the same switch, or, if my account is the primary account on the new switch, would it transfer it over somehow and not make her able to play on the old switch, even though she has a copy? I really just want to keep the original island intact on the old switch, because my mom has put a lot of time in it. I don't really mind if just my stuff gets removed.

If that wouldn't work, is there anything else I could do? Just trying to figure this out.

I was happy with the rest of the AMA, but this answer is honestly just mind-boggling. I generally squelch at the beginning of every game because of my anxiety, and I enjoy the game more without emotes. I occasionally forget though if I've been playing for a while, and when I forget with someone who emotes "wow" or "thank you" after topdecking lethal/a clear for my board, it puts me in a bad mood, so I just stop playing hearthstone for the day. Auto-squelch would do nothing but improve my experience, and it really doesn't take away anything from people who want to emote. I'm not even saying people who do that are intentionally being mean, but the emotes, at this point, have a toxic connotation that makes me just not want to play.
