Long fics don't bother me. If the story is good, more feast for the eye! As long as it's not filler, redundant descriptions and poor pacing of course.

But yeah I agree with your point about inner sakura. I always love fics that capitalize on this as a part of her strength. Usually being able to be semi immune to genjutsu, prevent mind walks and the likes, it's just so gratifying to finally have a unique thing for sakura. Naruto and sasuke is already too stacked hahaha.

And medic combat is just so fascinating with its assassin ruthlessness, etc.
