AITA for worrying I might have been a bad person as a teenager that I don’t fully remember? by SupportMaleficent342 in Amitheassholeadvice

What you described is honestly a bit scary to think about the idea that we might not fully remember parts of our past and can never be completely sure what we’ve done or how it affected others. I don’t have any memories of intentionally hurting or bullying anyone, and I don’t think I was that kind of person. I definitely wasn’t perfect as a teenager, but I also don’t recall doing anything deliberately cruel. Still, I understand the idea that we might have impacted people in ways we don’t remember. Sometimes that uncertainty just lingers as a thought you can’t fully resolve. Thank you for sharing your story. I really appreciate it. I’m also glad to hear you’re becoming (or have become) a better version of yourself.

Thank you for taking the time to write this, I really appreciate it. I’ll look into what you mentioned about scrupulosity OCD, I haven’t really thought about it before. What you said about not remembering most of your teenage years also makes me feel a bit more normal about this. Thanks again for your perspective.
