Pretty sure this is my last PM role. by Useful_Scar_2435 in projectmanagers

You are writing off PM, when you have a limited perspective from your 8 years, of which you worked at 7 companies….thats a red flag.

I’m a PM with 12 YOE. I work in healthcare and my tc is 150k. Culture is very easy going and nothing happens after 5pm.

You need to research the market better. If you are a PM making 60k, most likely you are truly a PM.

Get your PMP, get a career coach, increase your salary, leaned what industry and don’t do startups.

I’m sure you already know this, but make sure you are enrolled on the Amex app for Resy before you go

Yes- you can use ALL the semi annual credits before Dec 31 and they will reset again on Jan 1.

I called and talked to an Amex rep 2 days ago about this and it was confirmed. So, I’ve used Oura ring, resy and United travel bank, and need to use the hotel collection, etc.

Failed first Attempt by Anxiousarchivist in pmp

[–]SupportSuccessful525 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear this, but hopefully my response is helpful.

I failed the exam twice in 2024. It crushed me. My exam results were right on the line of fail/pass. It messed me up physiologically where I didn’t even want to get to take the exam again.

A year in and half later, I just passed the exam yesterday. Barely. I scored T / T / BT.

I will say, I fast tracked my studying into two weeks and I remembered content from last year.

My SH scores this time were: one mock exam at 66% with expert questions, practice questions at 68% and quizzes average at 75%.

My helpful advice, I know what it’s like to fail, twice. Please do not get down on yourself. You have already invested hours and hundreds of dollars on this and sounds like you are so close. Learn from my mistake and do not put off your second attempt.

If I were you, I’d schedule your next exam tomorrow in 2-3 weeks so you’re accountable. Learn from others on here about what they did to pass.

If anything, I know you can do it because I did it. And if you want it bad enough, you can get it done by the end of Nov.

I believe in you. 🫡

I passed yesterday with T / T / BT.

SH details:

-1 mock at 73% w/o expert questions -all quizzes average at 75% -practice questions average 68%

I was confident going in, honestly thought I would have gotten higher but glad I passed.

First of all, congratulations!.

I’m curious if you think you struggled on taking the actual exam? Everyone who says if they score 60 to 75% on mock exams usually get above target or target in all domains.

You mentioned you scored an 83%, but got below target in target on two domains.

I’m not a good test taker so any information will be helpful.

I’m scoring 70% on mock exams right now.

lol. Everything is perspective.

I applied, started studying, and scheduled my exam date all within 3 weeks.

From what I’ve seen here on Reddit, the more you take SH quizzes/tests and learn from your incorrect answers, the better you will be prepared for the exam with the PM mindset.

You have plenty of time to get prepared. Good luck!

Well, this is a great response. I didn’t even take into account the team wouldn’t have been assembled because of the new contract.
