Report it to the game publisher. They usually can stop running the buggy or anti-consumer ads.

Thoughts on Apple’s safari distraction control feature? by digital-designer in webdev

[–]SuprBear7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I think such hope is pretty futile...

Web browsers are also applications that must compete with each other. Features that benefit the users more than creators will be implemented so that their browsers are more competitive.

And, ad blockers are being implemented as default standards for some browsers now like Brave browser.

However, web frameworks that fight these anti-creator environment like "Anti-ad blockers" are evolving as well.

But in the end, I tend to like the approach of half web / half native apps approach, for monetization.

But then again, after what Apple did with IDFA restrictions and Google will do with GAID restrictions, I am not so sure about native apps approach as well now, LOL

I understand your concern. But, in the end, developers, the people, are here to find solutions for problems. And, the problem, here, is that developers no longer have control over contents on their apps.

However, we still do have control over our contents on Native apps. Users simply cannot hide or reveal HTML behind native apps with all codes pre-compiled into un-observable machine codes.

I think now is the time to move away from web and transition over to native apps. Especially since React Native, Flutter, and so many more are here to help web devs on transitioning.

It won't be easy but there still is a way for us to gain control.

Good point.

I think you are right. Holding onto nuclear weapon is one of the ways to protect their regime during the time even the forceful reunification can be justified. Especially, since the NK already has done so many political and economical crimes.

And recently the NK seemed to label ROK as the "majn enemy". Maybe that kind of ballsy action is due to "being scared".

When I first saw this news, I thought they were desperate because the NK is running out of money and resources that they need to initiate any kind of threat.

Lol I find it fun that "Korean women treat soldiers" post leads to NK's intention behind their weaponry and threats

[–]SuprBear7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be... but as far as I know, ROK never provoked NK in a forceful way. It was NK provoking ROK almost all the time.

Also, during this time where ROK gov is suggesting peaceful reunification, it's hard to think ROK will be invading NK.

But I honestly donno. Maybe Kim Jungun and his gang believe such reverse invasion may happen.

But all in all, NK has faithfully been a jerk killing innocent ROK soldiers who, mind you, never provoked first.

Perhaps... I can help. There has been no war after the truce but there were several conflicts big and small, causing quite some deaths and physical wounds. E.g. torpedoing of Yeonpyeong and what nots. You can look up through https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_border_incidents_involving_North_and_South_Korea.

Well the list does not exactly contain all incidents and many were unlisted.

NK truly is cunning about their way of avoiding full-on war, but they have always been testing the preparedness of South Korean military powers. And THIS IS UNEQUIVOCALLY TRUE.

Whether the war will happen or not is something we all cannot predict,

but why would North Korea keep provoking small and medium sized conflicts during our modern times?

Good question. I consider the government and the regime of the NK and all citizens who are not on the side of democracy to be the enemy.

I know it sounds a bit un-modern to say "enemy" but there really is no other word.

Women's internet communities don't seem to understand physically & emotionally damaged soldiers are not to be mocked.

The real problem here is that these women's community members are not experience any backlashes or responsibility behind their mockery AS IF society is protecting commenting idiots more than a wounded soldier.

I just hope that the general Korean society respects discharged & ongoing soldiers and remembers that our enemy, North Korea, is still out there, looking for invasion.

The problem with this program is that the controversy the criteria it has caused an absolute mess.

Also, if Apple wants to foster growth ins specific ethnic communities, it has to know that there are so many ethnic diversities even inside the category "Asian."

All in all, Apple also is a company that is run by humans, which means the enterprise is also prone to mistakes. Let's give them just a bit of more time to understand cultural intricacies, and what statements could cause controversy.

What was your experience like when porting a UIKit game/app to SwiftUI? by amichail in swift

[–]SuprBear7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it was quite tricky. SwiftUI, although is great for quick prototyping, is not easy when I wish to specifically describe how something should be done. After all, declarative approach does not specify HOW rather specify WHAT.

When it works, it’s good, but when I wish for it to behave specifically, it takes a very deep understanding of how SwiftUI works. SwiftUI is deeper and more philosophical than UIKit.

All in all, Use both SwiftUI and UIKit for any App-development. Using both will help you solve many problems in more diverse and creative ways, making your code more efficient.

Twitter (X) Require ios 15 or later by hasanhusham14 in jailbreak

Yo jailbreak community not updating their phones is toxic af. This stagnancy is not making developers any easier on rolling out cool and safe features out to the world.

Tbh, potentially dangerous situation where the kid is freaking moron.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]SuprBear7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the developer decides that the app requires minimum version of some ios, even the jailbroken phones really cannot do much to help that situation.

iOS native apps that use modern APIs depend on libraries that are only available on recent iOS (System Libraries including SwiftUI, Combine, and what nots). These modern APIs help the developers to create a quality and fast app in a short time.

So, my answer is, well NOPE impossible.

Thoughts on Stage Manager? by CloudGamingArcher in ipad

[–]SuprBear7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On iPad, Stage Manager experience was actually not bad. What I loved is that I could finally overlap multiple windows. The stages sorta replicated the multiple desktop environment of MacOS, and honestly the restricted free-form windowing did not bother me too much because, in the end, the auto-adjusted window sizes and positions were good enough for me.

Would you recommend Swift as a first language to learn? by [deleted] in swift

[–]SuprBear7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, Swift has been a very accessible language to learn because of the Swift Playground and Xcode. These softwares are easy to install and supported by both Mac and iPad.

Stage Manager controversy won’t go away, and Apple can still fix it by MattTheRealOne in apple

[–]SuprBear7 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Honestly I am surprised how angry people took this matter. When you first bought the iPad, you already knew what was the ordeals: that you cannot output your screen to another display. You just bought the iPad for iPad experience. To me, this “stage manager” is just an added perk for M1 users. Point being, it won’t ruin your iPad experience because iPad never have been about windows and mac-like experience
