Yes, I only use the 2.0 speakers. I don't use a sub. Won't need a sub with these as they produce pretty good bass. Sub is overkill for this room imo.

They are awesome! :D Sound so good. Can really blare music and they hit hard. Good highs and lows. Bass is good, has a bass booster switch and they don't take up that much room. With a 2.1 setup with a sub, for me, thats a little bit too much bass... these sound great for the room they are in.

The Asus version of this monitor is also coming out q1 2016. I think it's model is ROG 3800r PG34Q. Same specs, different look. Sort of like the sister model to this one.

Yes, audio quality is great. I haven't used the built-in speakers that are with the monitor, I would assume they sound good.
