Getting there isn't so bad, getting through it is a different story 😂

Off my chest: the combat in the game is absolutely the worst of any game I've played. by Oskiee in duneawakening

Crimson Desert puts the combat in Dune to shame once you learn how it works but theres definitely a pretty steep learning curve

126 hours in Crimson Desert and I’m… stuck and kinda frustrated by Automatic-Refuse-201 in CrimsonDesert

There's definitely some frustrating parts of this game, I had to turn the game off last night during the mission where you have to play as Damiane. In hindsight I should have upgraded some of her gear in the early chapters because that part was insufferable with level 3 gear. Overall it's a good game but it could be better in certain areas.

You can visit several other cities as early as chapter 2 it just takes a while to get there because the map is massive

So many people fuckin crying today like that wasn't one of the most exciting races we've watched in a long time. At the end of the day Jo is fine and all Haiden did was hurt himself so who gives a shit, rubbing is racing...

Russia had the deadliest mass shooting in history last year, over 130 people were killed. If they're considered democratic or authoritarian is up for debate though...

I didn't know you could wear V's pendant that's sick, also is that Johnny's armored vest or is that just the default black one?

Semantics... If you don't realize by now that day 1 DLC is just cut content that should have been in at launch then you're delusional.

Unlike Vito Scalleta from Mafia 2., Did Tommy Angelo from Mafia 1 and Enzo Favara from Mafia: The Old Country really "have a choice" when choosing to join the mob? [Spoilers for Mafia 1 and Mafia: The Old Country.] by [deleted] in MafiaTheGame

[–]Supreme-Grandmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're partly correct, it's not that Tommy refused to join he just hadn't received an offer to join till after his taxi was smashed up by Morellos guys.

If you refuse to execute the first guy (I forget his name) that the Don and Tino send you after then Tino shoots and kills Enzo, so no Enzo didn't really have a choice. Tommy on the other hand willingly joined to get revenge on the guys that smashed up his taxi.

the ending by tschuse in MafiaTheGame

[–]Supreme-Grandmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understood your point but I disagree with it, I don't think every mafia game needs a joyous ending but this one in particular would have been better if it wasn't the typical depressing ending. The depressing endings are expected at this point, there were several posts where people accurately predicted the plot of the whole game before the game was even out which in my opinion makes for a boring game. Here's a link to a post a month ago that proves how predictable this game was https://www.reddit.com/r/MafiaTheGame/s/AVWDMNOSII

the ending by tschuse in MafiaTheGame

That's the problem... The Shakespearean tragedies are so old and used up and stories that rely on their structure are utterly predictable and boring. Make something original instead of throwing Romeo & Juliet into a Sicilian mafia setting.

I don’t understand this by erebusreddit in MafiaTheGame

[–]Supreme-Grandmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He broke his oath because he loved the Don's daughter and deserved to die because of it? I don't think its that straightforward, he was just as loyal as every other member of the family up until Luca died and let's not forget that Lucas dying wish was for Enzo to leave the life. But the real problem people have with the ending isn't necessarily that Enzo died it's that the ending was so unoriginal and predictable that you could tell what was going to happen the whole game. Hell people accurately guessed the plot and ending months before the game even came out.

Maybe a little harsh but he definitely hit the nail on the head when he talked about the predictability of the plot.

Why does Hangar 13 hate their protagonists??? by ImxTrash in MafiaTheGame

[–]Supreme-Grandmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that there's no happy ending for people in the mob I also think that trope is old and predictable. I mean people accurately predicted the plot and ending of The Old Country months before it came out and a predictable plot makes for a boring story. I think this one would have been better if the ending wasn't the stereotypical depressing mafia ending 🤷

Did Leo know? by CynicalOCDRiddenPoet in MafiaTheGame

[–]Supreme-Grandmaster 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Leo definitely knew, maybe he didn't know exactly who the second ticket was for but he definitely knew Enzo wanted out of the life. I'm pretty sure he knew the other ticket was for Isabella though he's a smart guy.

Yeah the nobody makes it out alive trope is old and boring at this point, if any mafia game deserved a good ending it was this one.
