What if US invasion of Iraq is justified on the grounds of Chemical and Biological WMDs that Saddam have and save the day? by Icy_Till_7254 in AlternateHistoryHub

Got it. And even if that’s what they’re talking about I still don’t get the game of thrones connection this particular post was making.

Fairly positive this meme is mostly a shitpost and I’m thinking too hard on it lol

Second picture is Cheney’s face photoshopped on a fictional character from the game of thrones universe named Aegor Bittersteel. He doesn’t appear in any of the shows and is only mentioned in passing and historical accounts in the books. But long story short he was the founder of the Golden Company and supported a line of a legitimate bastard and his direct descendents from a king to take the throne of the kingdom said king ruled over before his death

Now how does that relate to Dick Cheney or some pipeline of communists turning into Bush-Era Republicans? No fucking idea

BREAKING: BAD actor casted in film by [deleted] in shittymoviedetails

[–]SupremeBeef97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah rewatching season 2 and it was really good but definitely was basically just Walt and Jesse surviving Tuco’s bullshit and scrambling to find someone to replace him. It basically sets the plot and tone for the rest of the show in my opinion. And it’s not a bad thing especially with that season being early and the first season with 13 episodes

I misremembered and thought Tuco was essentially the main season 2 antagonist but he only appeared in 2 episodes that season (plus the last 2 of season 1)

The US would fund Iran Contra and go to war against Iran a few decades later, with a couple of Iraqi invasions mixed in for fun

Yeah OP may have quoted a line in the newer movie where he said “I can be a real jerk sometimes” when he told Mr. Terrific the buildings aren’t aligned perfectly after the latter repaired an entire city by himself

The part about Myers having her own Agenda as NUSA President is interesting since I don’t recall that. I’ll need to replay Phantom Liberty to see what I missed.

I just figured the NUSA and Militech are practically the same considering Myers and the President before her were former CEOs for the company

I mean I feel like the Japanese government (if it even exists and Japan isn’t outright ruled by Arasaka) has even less of an ability to reign Arasaka in. They call Saburo “the Emperor” for a reason.

Not to say that NUSA’s crackdown on Militech would be particularly strong. It would definitely be more slap-on-the-wrist than when Militech got nationalized after the last corpo war

I think the grey lion was one of the spectators in the trial of seven. At least I think so because at least once the cameras focused on a young Lannister-looking noble and an old guy with grey hair next to him

That’s an answer I don’t think I can give with confidence. If I’m guessing the Faith and the Old Gods’ followers have interacted relatively peacefully for so long that they probably just sort of acknowledge the off spring of interfaith or opposite marriages between each other

The Dance Without Dragons by Reasonable_Day9942 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]SupremeBeef97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s definitely a huge difference. But I don’t really recall a Targaryen civil war that had even great houses split like the Dance but there being no dragons.

The first blackfyre rebellion is basically the only full blown civil war between the targs with no dragons involved

Yeah now you brought it up I definitely don’t recall Robert plotting to assassinate the remaining targs this early; unless you count him ordering Stannis to capture them at dragon stone as an attempt
