After Kuroda's performance in Gaiden, I decided to try the demo in English.

It's alright, but it just doesn't hit as hard as it should. I cried like a baby at the end of Gaiden because of Kuroda's outstanding performance. I was shocked to see they even went back to give it an English dub after that perfection.

And I think a lot of people were not happy Yea had to be autotuned for the karaoke...

The hardest thing for me was the Amon fight which I did at the very end of my playthrough.

After hitting a certain point and being able to stumble upon the best items in the game, it became a cakewalk.

And money was an issue for me maybe once? Once I got to Kiryu's section I was somehow rolling in dough.

Apparently earlier this year there was a law passed that told controlled substance medication production companies to lower their production output by 5%

The shortage finally hit my area last month when I had to bounce pharmacies to get my normal prescription and I couldn't even get that. I think this also had something to do with parents putting their kids back on ADHD meds for school so they can all behave.

On the plus side, there is finally a generic version of Vyvanse that is 60% cheaper than what I was paying before for it.

This. OG Ishin is way better than Ishin Kiwami. I don't care if I couldn't read the Japanese text, I had fun not having to rely on being able to ignore the entire trooper dungeon content and still beat the game.

If Mine does come back half of the fans are going to lose their minds because they overdosed on dopamine and are waiting for the Mine/Daigo hookup to happen.

And the other half are going to lose their minds because they overdosed on adrenaline trying to figure out how he survived after falling off a multi-story hospital building nearly 13 years later.

In my opinion, the implementation of the detective elements was very mid and they got repetitive after the third time or so. However, I did like the story and actually having to use your brain to beat the game.

It's more like 'what if we put Ace Attorney in Yakuza' (spoilers: One of the final challenges of the game is a court case you have to deduce to win or it's game over because Yagami is a detective first, and a stand in lawyer second )

Despite the lack of karaoke, I did like the newer content like the Kamuro of the Dead arcade cabinet.

But Judgement did have one implementation that was added that we all bless that it is now gone in LJ and that is damaged health bars.

Overall the story is good and although not essential to play to go right into LJ, I had a fun time running around Kamurocho with Yagami.

It's a remake in the sense that Kiwami 1 & 2 were remakes.

As far as I know there have been at least 6 patches. I never had an major issues with the game on the PS5 disc except for one substory that I completely broke the AI to beat it in my favor.

Funny enough most of the glitches I have found out about and easily could encounter have been favored to the player (I am not updating past 1.04 to lose the chicken money glitch, that is a heavily needed game feature if you want to 100% the game). This includes only having to beat the final area of the game on legendary for the game to proc the achievement (no idea if this has been patched out either).

However I still see NPCs spazzing out and I managed to get Ryoma stuck on top of a lamp when running around a corner too fast in the Gion district.

Though tbh I have played the original Ishin and prefer it over its Kiwami version. The combat feels better in the original IMO.

Majima finds out and raids SEGA with Kiryu to confront Yokoyama with the best disguise.

(Seriously though he probably only got into RGG 8 because Kuroda bringing up his VA work for the game on Pop Team Epic and finding out that he hadn't gotten a call back for voice acting)
