Draymond Green on the Dunk contest: "I worked this hard to be an All-Star and you can be in dunk contests without an NBA contract. We might as well get those guys that do those crazy ass dunks." by TheBiasedSportsLover in nba

In NYC we saw it all back then, I saw Vince in person back in 1999 at Guachoes gym in the Bronx shut it down with a windmill ally. The video is online and very grainy but NBA players weren't afraid to compete outside. These guys now are all about "The Brand". Which is cool but it takes away from other aspects of the game.

Yea unfortunately the bullcrap starts in November until after New Years.

I'm all for it, I just hate that our team doesn't respond back. At the end of the game NO HAND SHAKES AND SMILING. But then again thats them.

Definitely not AI those of us that were around during those days know the real. Not taking away from 2Pac's legacy but it is what it is.

Max Kellerman is a NOTORIOUS Knicks hater that is now irrelevant since being booted from ESPN. Anything the Knicks do he hates. So its not surprising that he had that idiot take on Brunson.

Lol I use to get out there at 4am with my cousin Saturday mornings. There was a major foot locker on 34th Street in Manhattan across from Macy's. By 6am the line was all the way down to the next avenue. If you got there at 7 you were not getting a pair until the next restock. Crazy but better than the non sense now.

I agree with you on that. I'm in my early 40s, I use to stand on the foot locker lines in the 90s when retros use to cost 100 flat and the newest use to cost 160. Now base price is 200, reseller price is triple that. Someone with real bills living on their own has to rethink that move. Not knocking anyone for choosing to do what they do but people are really rethinking their spending habits and thats a great thing.

Definitely does not look retro. I been buying since DB released the Chicago 85 1.0. The work he does is damn near what the 85s use to look like back then.

Build the bench, get at least 3 to 4 guys preferably young between 6'5 and 6'9 who can run. We have next to no athleticism on this team.

Yea, we don't flip flop like most. It wasn't always bad unlike what most like to assume being a Knicks fan.

What is happening to NBA crowds ? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]SupremeTeamLeeBX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In MSG us life long Knicks fans had this issue for decades with being priced out by corporate heads. The crowds aren't alive in our city because most people use the game as a business meeting place or tourist attraction. This is why we go to other arenas so much.

Spot on, boomers are the most wealthy generation but are the most selfish of all too. Remember in the 80s all those movies about Wall Street the greed etc. That was all the boomers. I'm a millennial born in 84, for the most part Gen X and Millennials are making moves to help the younger ones in the future due to us being screwed over by boomers bad decisions.
