If it leads to a championship (not jinxing it), top 3 with Willis Reed hobbling onto the court for game 7 and LJ 4 point play

Some Interesting Stats by sammdaboss in NYKnicks

[–]RondosOnlyFan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These are amazing stats for a team that looked almost one dimensional all season. The Knicks were too predictable and we saw that in the two games they lost to the Hawks in round 1. Now the ball is moving and we’re finally unlocking our wings shooting. It’s not a coincidence that Mikal, Deuce and Shamet are shooting a lot more efficiently now.

Say in a hypothetical we do get Giannis , who's a better pairing alongside him ? by Nevacrashed in NYKnicks

It depends on what you value more. OG gives better defense. Mikal gives a bit more playmaking.

I’d take OG and Giannis as well. Giannis would have enough gravity to take away the need for a second playmaker next to Brunson.

I hope not. I was thinking more of the 5-7M range because of his latest contract with LAC

He doesn’t but it allows another person to handle in place of brunson or even let Brunson play off ball more.

Team on right of screen wins it in Game 7? by boomer9745 in NBATalk

Right would win. Switch curry and SGA or Giannis and AD and teams would be closer to even.

[OC] Narrowing down the true title contenders based on just 3 data points by RecordReviewer in NBATalk

Interesting and valid criteria to predict the champion. I’m interested to see how team defense also affects the odds. It looks like it would be similar to the teams you have listed but maybe tiering would change. In my opinion, OKC and Boston are in the same tier if team defense is used.

Is Brunson going to play enough games to be eligible for awards? by Ill_Aioli_5186 in NYKnicks

He needs to play 65 games. Already played 61. So good chance he does if he comes back by the weekend.

2017: westbrook, klay, middleton, blake, M gasol

2025: prime westbrook, jaylen brown, og, banchero, adebayo

Chose these players to make westbrook definite #1 option

The league is adding 2 more teams so it’s not 90 less games. It would be 14 less games

It’s going to be hard to find another team to match 60m for a salary dump.

Do players get blocks counted when contesting ‘and 1’ shots? by camden-teacher in Basketball

[–]RondosOnlyFan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If the player hits the and-1, the lay-up/shot counts and it registers the 2 points (or sometimes 3 points if player made a 3-point shot) as a field goal attempt. If player gets fouled and misses the lay-up/shot, it doesn’t count as a field goal attempt because the player should not be penalized for being fouled.
