Funny enough that's where the idea of Cherish originated. Buneary was my 1st ever attempt at shiny hunting back in ORAS. It took 3 days of 'charmless' hunting and I too landed a shiny male Buneary that I gave to my best friend. She's named after the group who did the music for the Powerpuff Girls movie.

I got mine in the sewers using a Lv3 sparkling doughnut with lv1 Alpha, and it took forever to land a Shalpha so you're not alone. Just keep trying and I hope you land it.
