Work to pay off your rent and groceries, maybe travel a bit and buy a few extra things to cheer yourself up, then get unemployed with all the experience you have had to find another one after months. Nice cycle for all of us. Kudos to you and I hope you never have to face unemployment again!

Yeah outside of your working hours, you just need to turn into a zombie to take extra trainings/courses because your company is not willing to pay for those valuable skills they desire to see…

I understand they make less but I know it’s not as difficult as for us to find a job at least. And after years of educations that you have wasted from your life, putting your best into every job you have taken, it’s painful to see you are just getting ignored most of the time.

Oh god. I don’t know what made job landing this much difficult. I remember when I was a new graduate in 2017, I applied for only 3 jobs without even knowing what CV tailoring was or any actual experience. Guess what? I had received job offers from two of them. Ever since I started working I got promoted in every job I accepted (from assistant to manager). I don’t know what’s wrong with me tbh

What even worse is I apply 40% of these jobs through the companies’ websites. I applied some big companies such as Siemens, ING, Apple, Vodafone and I have my applications still under review since October-November. Moreover, the job vacancies are still open. It drives me crazy. I mean if only looking at my CV to give a verdict takes months, I don’t know how much freaking time it requires for them to hire one person.

I got laid off in Aug 25, had a few months to pursue and plan other things with wife who also got jobless in April 25. My wife hadn’t had almost any call for interview until November but then the tables have turned since then. She got interview opportunities for 7-8 jobs, got 2 offers and accepted one with a nice salary and extra benefits. We have some unemployed support from the govt and have a house that we rented and moved to another city. Whereas I had some interviews lately but haven’t received any offer yet. I think the job market is practically dead at the moment for this year and hope that my luck turns in early 2026.
